The land surrounding La Poujade is mainly wooded, while the garden has well kept lawns and shrub borders. There is a private 8x4m swimming pool and a shaded patio and additional terrace near the pool. The property boasts far reaching views over the valley towards the small village of Gagnac sur Cere, and is the last in a small cluster of houses, with no passing traffic. Beaulieu is famous for its annual Strawberry Festival in May and has been featured on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun. The Romanesque Abbey of St Pierre has a magnificently decorated tympanum and the architecture of many of the houses dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
