The "Le Peyrou" estate is a former vineyard that lies in a meander of the river "Lot". The estate is about 15 kms west of Cahors (549 km from Paris). On the "Le Peyrou" estate are 3 separate houses, in the centre of a beautifully designed woodlands park (almost 4 hectare large or approximately 10 acres) that is graced with centuries old trees and romantic country paths. Three of our homes are available for our guests: the 'Main Manor' (4 persons), the 'Guest house' (10 persons) and the 'House of the Guardian' (6 persons). Outside school holidays we can split up the guesthouse into 2 parts for 4 persons and a 'Studio' for 2 persons. Each home has a private entrance and parking area, which guarantees privacy. You can enjoy a walk around the estate, swim in the pool (6m x 12m), sunbathe on a lounge chair or enjoy a game of tennis on the tennis court. There is a beautiful view into the Lot valley in which there is an old fort that is illuminated in the evenings.

Saturday is changeover day, but in low season we can be more flexible in changeover day.

The studio is located in one part of the guesthouse with its' own entry and private terrace showing into the park. The room has a 4 poster bed (1.60 x 2.00m) with canopy, 2 nice chairs to relax, TV, little dining table with chairs.

The bathroom has a sink, a bathtub, separate shower and a bidet. The toilet is separated.

In the hallway we placed a kitchenette with 2 cookers, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave and pots and pans etc.

The Studio has a private terrace looking out over the park.

You are able to rent half of the main manor, a spacious 135sq.m). It consists of a large living room with an open (wood burning) fireplace, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Each bedroom has its own luxurious bathroom (bath tub, bidet, toilet, sink and cabinet). Each bedroom is done in a romantic country style. One room has a 4 poster bed with canopy and the other room has a French styled bed. Each bed is queen sized (1.60 x 2.00 m) There is a large kitchen with dining area. The tastefully decorated room has combined the style and grace of the manor's heritage, while providing the guests with modern conveniences and luxuries (such as: dishwasher, washing machine, large refrigerator (with deep freeze compartment), microwave, coffeemaker, and other kitchen utensils and equipment).
Garden chairs, table and barbecue are located on the patio/terrace.

3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room with open kitchen. Covered terrace and garden with terrace.
This cosy house is just renovated but lots of the characteristic elements have been spared. This house is a large (15 metres long) detached house (105sq.m), also with its own private entrance and parking area.
The living room has a large corner sofa, dining table with Rattan chairs, TV and a stereo. The kitchen has all the conveniences and luxuries (as dishwasher and washing machine).
The living room opens to a covered terrace with fire place and you will find garden chairs, table and barbecue for your personal use and pleasure. There is another terrace in your private garden.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 with toilet). One bedroom has a private bathroom with double sink, separate shower, toilet and bidet.

The guesthouse (215 m2) is the second manor on the estate. It has its own entrance and parking area. The guesthouse has a large kitchen with dining area and all the conveniences and luxuries (a dishwasher, a large refrigerator (with deep freeze compartment), a 5 burner cooker with oven etc.).
Adjacent to the kitchen is a pantry and second work area. It consists of a second sink and counter, and the washing machine.

Next to the kitchen is the living room (10m x6m). This room is decorated in French colonial period.
You'll find here 3 comfortably large sofas next to the open (wood burning) fireplace. There are 3 double French doors which open on to the terrace/patio where you will find garden chairs, table and barbecue for your personal use and pleasure.

The guesthouse has 5 bedrooms. Here also is chosen for a romantic country style, which includes 4 poster beds with canopy. The beds are queen sized (1.60m x 2.00m).
The guesthouse has 2 bathrooms and 2 seperate toilets.

 

Notes on accommodation
We're open all year round. B&B is also possible. For the little ones: Baby sitting, cot, high chair, baby bath, potti available on request. In every gξte: play toys. Free access to WIFI. Rent of bedlinen (7,85 euro p.p.) and towels (6 euro per set) possible. In every gξte you'll find a selection of wine from the region (white, rosι and the famous dark red Cahors), prices starting at 4 euro. Walking guides on request. We can advise (and reserve as you wish) for restaurants, kano rental, bike rental etc. For your shopping needs you can go to the village (600 meters from the estate) where there are 2 bakers, a butcher, supermarket, and cafes. A 15 minute drive will bring you to several large supermarkets; Sorry, no pets allowed on the estate.

Outside
The swimming pool (6m x 12m) and the tennis court are only used by our guests.
Every house has its own private terrace. Garden chairs, table and barbecue are located on this patio/terrace.
Use of the Swimming pool and the Tennis court is free.

Coast/Beach
Nice swimming area in the River 'Lot' at about 10 min. drive.
Fishing at 3 min. walk.

Golf
2 golf courses at 45 min. drive.

Travel
Nearest airports: Bergerac, Toulouse, Bordeaux.
