La Chouette is perfect for enjoying the peace and tranquility of the Normandy way of life, leafy country lanes surround the property and is ideal for walking and cycling. The local village of Remilly sur Lozon is perfect for basic shopping needs, with a boulangerie/bakery, butchers, convenience stores, play park and tennis courts. The larger towns of St Lo and Periers are just a 20 minutes drive away on easy roads, and have restaurants, cafes, banks and boutique shopping. Activities including golf, fishing, horseriding, swimming and cycle routes are all found locally.

Notes on prices
Long weekends & mid week breaks, are generally not available during June, July and August, however please contact us for availability. Changeover days during June, July & August are on a Saturday, however it is flexible so please contact us for details. For a Sunday departure an extra supplement of £15 is payable to cover the additional cleaning charge. Out of season arrival and departure dates are flexible. La Chouette is available for long winter lets, please contact us for further details.
Changeover day
During summer months of June, July and August changeover day is Saturday. Access to the house can be gained from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. During other months arrival and departure days are flexible.

Accessibility
All bedrooms are upstairs accessed by the original curved wooden staircase, and this may not necessarily be suitable for people with mobility problems.

Coast/Beach
The fine sandy beaches of the western Cherbourg peninsula beaches are 25 minutes away by car. The coastal towns and villages all have good facilities, easy parking, and restaurants serving locally caught fish and seafood. The larger towns such as Agon-Coutainville and Barneville-Carteret have funfairs and amusements for children. Agon-Coutainville also has water sports and sailing. The nearest D-Day landing beach is 30 minutes away by car with the furthest away being a 60 minutes by car.

Further details
The local village has two grocery shops, butchers, bakers, pharmacy, post office, library and hairdresser. Large hypermarkets are located on the outskirts of St Lo, a 15 minute drive away. (Closed on Sunday). Banking facilities, tourist office, pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, boutique shopping ideal for locally produced gifts and crafts can all be found in St Lo town centre.
Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. The balance is payable two months prior to the date of your holiday. A fully refundable security deposit is required with final payment of outstanding balance. The full amount of security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of your departure date, if appropriate. When making a booking enquiry we will respond within 24 hours, please check your junk/trash box in your email account to ensure our email has not been sent there.
