Set within its own grounds of 2 acres, with large ornamental garden and private parking La Hubidiere is perfect for that quiet break to unwind (in fact within hours of arriving and settling on the patio with a glass of wine I wonder can we ever leave again, warm evenings on the patio with clear skys (not spoiled by light pollution) are magical, stars and comet gazing is an essential evening pastime !! Internally the house is tastefully furnished and decorated and is very roomy with log fired central heating and electric convector heating for cooler parts of the season. There are plenty of areas in the house to relax and unwind if you need some privacy from the rest of your party from time to time!!. We have local English caretakers ( Andy and Di ) who are available should you have any problems, they can also provide at reasonable cost a meal service brought to the house for you for when you arrive ready to heat up and eat or on that last evening to savour your time here.

Owner profile
Me in a happy mood ( must be at La Hubidiere ) !!
About the owner
My wife Val and I are planning long term to live in La Hubidiere so it has been chosen carefully to ensure a good balance between secluded setting and access to local facilities like shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. We both like the French laid back way of life and the family culture and also enjoy exploring villages and relaxing outside cafes and bars watching the world go by. We have owned the property for six years and have carefully prepared it to ensure that everything you may need to enjoy your holiday is at hand. Getting there from the UK couldn't be easier just two toll roads from Calais and not too expensive to travel on and biggest bonus hardly any cars which is a big plus for us after the UKs busy roads!
Year purchased: 2005
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We love the people in the Loire area and find them to be both friendly and helpful (even if your French language skills are dodgy like mine) People will often help you when you are trying to ask for something or even surprise you and break into English! Locally there is plenty to see and do without travelling for too long and just relaxing at the house with a book on the patio can be a really rewarding experience.Le Lude has a lovely tea shop called Cafe Cake run by an English lady that is very popular with the locals, our favourite restaurant in Le Lude is Le Vulcano which is a very popular Italian restaurant with inside and an outside courtyard eating area, whilst for a quick lunchtime snack the local supermarket has a great Cafe serving snacks and meals either inside or on the patio.
Unique benefits of the property
La Hubididere is a great place to unwind, yet so close to some great towns, villages and cities so retail therapy is also possible when you are in the mood, mostly the peace and quiet get you once you have settled in which after the busy life in the UK is so refreshing, we love the garden also and enjoy the views from the house to the surrounding countryside. There is a dedicated cyclists route about half a mile from the house that goes between a few of the villages across open fields and woods etc and if free of traffic and very safe to use, there is a ladies and gents cycle for your use in the garage.
