Great location, near to Saumur and the stunning Loire River, for visiting local award winning vineyards, historic chateaux, mushroom and troglodyte caves. With beautiful countryside for walking, cycling and watching birds. We operate a no smoking policy in the house. Dogs welcome.

Notes on accommodation
We offer bed and breakfast in our home. For breakfast we offer a choice of locally sourced produce including eggs, fruit, homemade preserves and fresh breads from the village boulangerie. Dinner is available by prior arrangement with wine. All rooms have heating. All linen and towels are provided.
Farmhouse
The farmhouse has walk-in shower, basin, and WC.
The gîtes offer guests self-catering accommodation in the grounds of the main house. Featuring original stone and wooden flooring. The gîtes are the perfect getaway in the heart of the Loire Valley.
Outside
Guests have use of an enclosed court yard, whilst the rear garden has views extending across miles of countryside. In the warm Summer months, relaxing meals can be enjoyed outside.
Golf
Good quality golf can be played 10mins drive from our village.
Special interest holidays
Wine tastings are common at the various vinyards. Local Soap manufacturing can be viewed & purchased. Horse riding is available locally as are regular Golf tournaments take place.
Travel
Potiers - Angers Airport - 35 mins drive, Tours Airport - 50 mins drive, Nantes Airport - 1 3/4 hrs drive, by TGV to Saumur 1 hr, plus shuttle bus between Nantes Station and Airport, 15 mins. Channel ports: Caen - 3 1/2 hrs, Boulogne - 5 1/2 hrs drive. The closest ferry access is via Portsmouth-Caen. Flybe flys Southampton/Angers whilst Ryanair Stanstead/Poitiers airport. Car hire can be arranged from each airport. Eurostar/TGV provides a service London Waterloo/Lille then onwards to Angers.
Distances
Ideally situated in the peaceful countryside yet only minutes from Montsoreau, Fontevraud and Saumur. There is a 5 mins drive to the nearest village (Roiffe). 15mins drive to Montsoreau (one of France's 'beau villages' with it's Chateau and quaint streets of Candes St. Martin. 10 mins drive to Fontevraud and it's famous abbey (burial place of Richard the Lionheart & Henry II). 25 mins drive to Saumur - France's equine capital with the famous National Riding School, chateau and bustling markets.
Further details
Le Cadre Noir de Saumur regually perform locally. The famous Cadre Noir de Saumur is the most reputed Equestrian Academy in France, and this is a chance to catch them in elegant action. Withess an army of horses and their riders performing a complex choreographed sequence, a stunning demonstration of skill where horse and rider reach a level of complicity that is simply breathtaking.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking (non returnable unless room can be re-let) accommodation balance on arrival with extras such as meals on departure.

Family run B&B in a lovely rural location. The whole property has been loving restored by the family over the past 5 years to a good standard. A wide variety of foodstuffs are personally grown all year round for the evening meals and exchanged with villagers if there is a glutton at any one time.
