We are close to the town of Cande where you can shop in the supermarkets or the local shops, restaurants and bars. 3 golf courses within 45 minute drive. Beaches within an hours drive.

Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday. We require the premises to be vacated by 10.30 in the morning, with arrivals at 16.00 hours. Arrangements can be made with management, about arrivals.

Gite 2

There is 1 bedroom upstairs with a double bed and a small single for a child, plus a cot if required. At this level is a shower/toilet/washbasin. Ground floor is a self-contained kitchen fully equipped. A lounge/diner with a bed-settee. There is a TV and DVD player. The TV is French only. |

Notes on accommodation
For the Winter let there is oil-fired central heating. Children are most welcome and have the large heated pool, and the grassy fields to play in. Smoking is not encouraged in the gites. WIFI is available in the Gite's.
Outside
Gite 2 has a small patio with table and chairs and parasol. Gite 1 has a large external area with table and chairs. The swimming pool is heated, the size is 12 x 6 metres and 2 metres at the deepest end. Loungers and a table are provided. The lake is approximately 100 x 50 metres and is stocked with carp, pike, roach and perch. There is also a fixed BBQ, for use by all.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of La Baule and St Nazaire are about an hours drive some 85km. We have local lakeside beaches with safe swimming, picnic areas and cafes. The local town of Cande has an indoor heated swimming pool.
Golf
There are 3 golf courses within 45 minute drive. Avrille 2 18 hole courses. Treffieux just outside Chateaubriant is a very long 9 hole course.
Travel
A car is essential.
The closest airports are Angers 45 mins to 1 hour. Rennes 1 hour. Nantes 1 hour 15 mins.
Ports include St Malo 2 hours. Cherbourg 4 hours. Caen 3 hours. Paris 3-4 hours.
Distances
Nearest town Cande 5kms. Our village Challain la Potherie is 3kms. Chateaubriand 25kms.
Further details
The town of Cande has many shop, cafes, bars, restaurants, banks and the supermarkets of Super U and Lidl. We also have a chocolate factory who welcome visitors.

We ask for a deposit of £100, the final payment can be made on arrival in UK pounds or euros at the rate of the day.

About the owner
We arrived in France from Jersey, in 1999 settling in a small cottage. We then decided to find a larger premises to start self-catering holiday lets. We bought in 2004 renovated and began letting.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The property being situated within the Loire Valley gives us a wonderful climate, always a degree or two above elsewhere. We are surrounded by large towns from 45 minutes to 1 hour away, and about 3½ hours to Paris, and in open countryside. We are close to St Malo so that we can return to Jersey to visit family and friends. Lovely local villages with weekly markets.
Unique benefits of the property
We think that it is very important having a large play area for the children. This gives the children time to play and explore leaving the parents to relax and not worry. They can also fish, whether an experienced fisherman or amateur its all good fun.
