Notes on accommodation
The house has central heating and a log fire, and has been designed throughout for space and ease of living. All furnishings and fittings are new and of a high quality to ensure you have a comfortable holiday. We have installed a Wi-Fi broadband connection, so you can bring your laptop if you want to stay in touch; and although a landline phone is available if you want it, mobiles do work well. Also new is an iPod speaker dock, so you can bring your music with you.
Accessibility
The French House was designed to be wheelchair friendly - we and our architect have experience there. The entire house, including the terraces and the pool area is absolutely flat, with no steps. Doorways are 95cm wide, rooms have space for wheelchairs, showers are flat-floored, bathrooms have wall-bars, a shower-wheelchair is on-site. The only exceptions are the internal access to garage and the path to the front door, but there is non-step access from the road to the patio doors at the rear.
Outside
The private pool is 45 sqm with Roman steps, and is surrounded by a large paved sunbathing area and a Mediterranean garden. The pool area gets the sun all day, and can be lit at night. There is a permanent built-in barbecue, and lots of loungers, chairs, parasol, etc. Inflatable paddling pool for toddlers. Rear terrace is well-shaded and has a dining table and chairs, also for six, for summer dining.
Coast/Beach
There is a huge choice of beaches within easy reach - family resorts such as Valras Plage (25 mins by car), or smart resorts like Grau d'Agde or Marseillan Plage (35 mins). All along this coast are dozens of natural, quiet, untouched beaches to explore - there are plenty of guides in the house to help you find them.
Golf
There are several well-regarded golf courses within half an hour's drive.
Special interest holidays
There is so much to see and do in the region, including vineyards, riding, canal cruises, water-sports, antiquities etc - just ask us and we'll point you towards somewhere to fulfil your needs.

Guest comments
‘We had an absolutely fantastic time, everything was just perfect. It was the ideal holiday for us, we simply opened the shutters each morning and let the children get on with it, giving ourselves a real holiday. I actually managed to read a book in the hours of daylight !! The house itself is beautiful and fantastically well equipped’ - RSM
‘A big thank you to you both for the loan of your French House. We have all had a relaxing time and were very impressed by the house. The facilities for our two girls in wheelchairs were great, and getting in and out of the pool was no trouble’ - PA
‘The house has a lovely feeling about it, more like having the privilege of sharing someone’s home rather than a more clinical holiday let’ - AB
