Three hours from Calais, 3 bedroom house sleeps 6 people. The house is part of a 17th Century courtyard of buildings in the 37 acre estate of a beautiful Chateau. Within the estate grounds are swimming pool & tennis court (both open April - September), swing, kitchen garden, orchard and acres of formal and wild gardens to explore which include woodland, a moat (now dry) and ornamental ponds. The estate is close to Paris, easy to get to by train or car, Euro Disney - 20 mins drive & 40 minutes drive to the Champagne towns of Reims or Epernay.

Changeover day
Saturday changeovers for High season - 7 nights minimum rental period. Flexible for Mid & Low seasons - can arrange rentals for 3 nights minimum.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have wall mounted electric heating and the ground floor has a log fire stove. The ground to 1st floor staircase is longer than normal (19 rises), this may effect the very young or old. A stair gate is advisable for young children and one is available in the house.
Please note - Chateau La Trousse is not a holiday resort, it is completely self catering, there are no entertainment or service facilities available. The estate is a privately owned by 34 families. The majority of homes are used exclusively by the owners, our house is one of only 10 available to rent. The Owners have created a family friendly environment ideal to rest, relax and enjoy the estate. Please bear this in mind when deciding if La Trousse offers what you are looking for as a suitable place for your holiday.

An outdoor table and chairs are provided which can be used in the sheltered courtyard to the rear of the house or on the front terrace.
Most of the gardens are for communal use and our rental guests are welcome to use the facilities and garden areas.

Travel
Use of car essential. 3 hours from Calais, approx the same from Dieppe. Paris/Beauvais or Paris/CdG are 1hr 15 mins and 50 mins respectively. Please see owners website for more details.

Nearest small town 5 mins drive with high street food shops, supermarket, cafe, bars, restaurants & train station to Paris (50 mins). Larger towns (Meaux & Chateau Thierry) 20/30 mins drive with tourist sites, Hospital, many cafes, bars & restaurants, clothes and gift shops, train station to Paris (Meaux 15 mins).
