Recently re-furbished 2 bedroom holiday cottage/gite in Brittany. Situated in the beautiful flower village of Pontrieux on the Cotes-d'Amor. One and a quarter hours drive from the ports St Malo and Rosscoff and the airports Dinard and Brest. Pontrieux boasts bars, creperies, restaurants, antique shops and artists galleries. Two boulangeries and a supermarket. A short drive to the rugged Rose Granite Coast and countless beaches, Chateau de la Roche Jagu and countless beauty spots.or catch the old steam train from Pontrieux through the scenic Trieux valley to Pampol, a bustling port with street bars and restaurants, shops and a large weekly market. Enjoy a 5 minute walk each morning to collect your baguette from the boulangerie and grab a coffee in the Tabac (or something stronger) while you plan your day. Prices are for the property per week in euro. Discounts may be offered for long term lets.
Changeover day
We would prefer changeover day to be Saturday. But we are totally flexible by agreement. Guests should arrive after 16:00 hours and leave no later than 10:00 hours to give us time to prepare for the next guests.

Notes on accommodation
All living rooms and bedrooms have thermostatically controlled radiators.
Water and electricity is included in the price to a maximum of 100Kw per week (average summer week).Over 100Kw there is a charge of 0.2 pound per Kw.
We do not charge extra for cleaning but request that you leave the Gite as you found it on your arrival. To respect other guests the Gite is a non smoking area. We will except some pets at no extra charge after prior discussion with us. Confirmation of your booking will be by email on clearance of the deposit.
We would recommend that you take out travel insurance.
Accessibility
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for the disabled or young children.(under 4 years)
Coast/Beach
Pontrieux is located within approximately 30 minutes driving distance of numerous sandy beaches and the Rose Granite Coast with it's beautiful sunsets. Many of the beaches have bars and cafe's.
Travel
Brest and Dinard airports are both about 90 minutes drive away from Pontrieux.
The Ferry ports of St Malo and Rosscoff also are about 90 minutes away by car.
Booking notes
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total rent is required at the time of booking. We accept several methods of payment,please contact us.
The balance of your rental is to be payed six weeks before your holiday and is to include a refundable £100 security in case of damage etc, which will be returned to you after a positive inspection after your holiday. Prices quoted are for a stay of one week e.g. Saturday p.m. until Saturday a.m. Additional days are calculated on pro rata basis.

About the owner
Ann and I (Larry) live very close to Pontrieux so are usually able to welcome you on arrival and help with any queries.
Before moving to France in 2007 we ran a boarding cattery and dog groomers on the Wirral.
We moved to France to retire and looked at many regions before choosing here where we have found the local people to be very friendly and many beautiful places to visit.
