We would like to extend an invitation to join us for a special holiday, not only to share our beautiful home but also our way of life. We will help you to have a holiday you will remember long after your return home. La Seliniere is situated midway between St. Sever forest, famous for it's wild life and Lac Dathée, equally well known for its 18 hole golf course, carp fishing and water sports. The house is surrounded by lawns, colourful flowerbeds and terraces, . In the garden are outside areas for eating, relaxing in the sunshine or playing games, which are supplied for adults and children alike. Take the time to introduce yourselves to our animals, collect your own eggs for breakfast from our chickens, feed our sheep, and take a treat out for Dillon the donkey and Pepi the pony. Your first welcome will be from Hugo our yellow Labrador who just loves visitors. Experience life in rural France with us.

Notes on prices
Prices are per room per night in euros.

Changeover day
We accept bookings on a daily basis and therefore do not adhere to preferred changeover days. We do however state time of arrival is after 4pm and departure time is 10.30am, although we aim to be as flexible as possible by prior arrangement.
Notes on accommodation
The garden is a gated area and as such is secure for children to play. The side car park is more than ample for any number of cars to be parked away from the building safely and securely and we also have availability in our barn for motor bikes and cycles.
We offer wifi access should you wish to bring a laptop with you. Fresh towels daily. Tea/coffee making facilities in each room and full English/Continental breakfast is inclusive.
Outside
All meals can be served in the dining room or on the terrace. A barbeque and tables and chairs are provided for guests who want to try their own culinary skills. If the idea of sitting on the terrace in the evening sun, sampling the local wine, while the barbeque sizzles quietly does not appeal, we can on request, provide evening meals. Sun beds are provided for those who just wish to relax.
Coast/Beach
There are countless places to visit as you travel through the beautiful towns and villages en route for proceeding to the coastal resorts and beaches of Avranches and Granville Which are 40kms away.
Golf
Vire Golf Club is 7km away, an 18 hole golf course in a magnificent setting facing Lac Dathée and offers a course suitable for all level of golfers, enjoy the stunning views, then why not finish off with a drink and something to eat in the newly refurbished clubhouse.

Travel
Dinard airport 82km. Car hire is essential. Travelling times from local ports: Caen (Ouistreham) 1.5 hrs. Cherbourg 2 hrs. Le Havre 2 hrs. Calais / Boulogne 4 hrs.
Distances
Our village of Champ du Boult is 2kms down the lane, an enjoyable walk for any supplies you may need. Meet our French locals at Natalie's and Phillipe's Bar, they really are very friendly. The village also has tennis courts, no payment needed the rackets and balls are provided from the bar and nearby there are facilities for hiking, walking, fishing and horse riding. Vire our nearest town is 11km away, it offers good restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, theatre and even a racecourse.
Further details
We provide a home cooked four course evening meal consisting of fresh local produce, fully inclusive of wine of course, priced at only 21 euros per person. Children's prices on request. Lunch and picnic lunches can also be provided. You will find in each room an information pack that details everything you will need to know about local shops, supermarkets, banks, chemists. The local restaurants are also listed with directions. Every pursuit has been covered with pamphlet information. The famous Cathedral of The Island Mont-St-Michel, the Bayeux tapestry, the medieval town of Fougeres and the Brittany coast, are all less than one hours drive away and well worth a visit. The D-Day landing beaches with their museums are also within easy reach.
There are two zoos and a sea life centre close at hand and even an opportunity for bungee jumping at the Souleuvre viaduct.

We will require a 25% non-returnable deposit to secure your booking. Three weeks previous to arrival date we will require the balance of payment. In the case of B & B required within days of inquiry, please consult with us.

About the owner
Stephen and I bought the farmhouse in December 1997, while still living in Stockport, England. We travelled over on our time off from working and spent time renovating the property, while living in a caravan. French locals thought this was very strange as they were not used to renovating these old properties themselves. We had every intention of retiring over here when we reached the age of sixty, but after being able to sell our business and home at the age of fifty we decided to move over here permanently in 2002. Considering the amount of work that needed to be done it was a wise decision. We actually finished the renovation project in 2007 and have now a successful Bed and Breakfast business. It's fantastic to have a home in the countryside and yet the social life is very full.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
The farmhouse is set on a quiet lane within easy walking distance of the village, which has a Bar/boloungerie/epicerie. The local French community is very friendly, Stephen and I were asked in 2005 to join the village association providing leisure activities for the inhabitants of Champ du Boult, we believed this was for a one year term, but have not been allowed to leave since, especially after they learned that Stephen used to be a Chef in England, he comes in very useful when we arrange, barbecues and soirees.
Unique benefits of the property
The farmhouse is a pleasure to live in, we regard ourselves as caretakers of this building. We have the enjoyment of the countryside, visitors can not believe how quiet it is when they wake up in the morning and yet the village is only a walk away. St.Sever forest is full of picnic areas and lovely walkways, the local riding stables is very well equipped for novices and the more experienced rider. Vire golf club (my husbands favourite place) is only 10 mins drive. Vire our nearest town is 15 minutes drive away and there is everything there that you could possibly need. The coast is 1 hours drive through beautiful villages, ideal for taking Hugo our Labrador to the beach.
