Also close by is the spa town of Bagnoles de L’Orne, with Casino, restaurants, lake, sports facilities, horse riding, outdoor swimming pool etc. A large patio with garden furniture, overlooking 2 acres of private land. Downstairs is a large oak beamed sitting room with kitchenette and enormous open fireplace with wood burner, TV/video/DVD. 3 double bedrooms - 1 downstairs and 2 adjoining upstairs (one entrance). Bathroom downstairs including bath, shower, and WC. Ideal for anyone with disability just one step to bathroom.

Notes on accommodation
Ideal for families of all ages including young children. Has 2 large private gardens and open private field with small stream which has been carefully fenced for children safety. Smoking and pets not permitted in/on premises. Wood for woodburner must be pre-arranged and is available in the shed.

Many golfing venues in the Pays de Loire/Normandy and surrounding areas. Excellent lakes for fishing and fabulous woods and forests with activities for all the family.
Special interest holidays
Activities available in the local area are cycling, horse riding, swimming, man made Lake/beach in Ferte Mace and many castles to visit all over this area. Large Spa town Bognles de L'Orne - casino overlooking beautiful gardens and lake, surrounded by many restaurants, cafes and local shops selling local produce. Location ideal for those interested in fishing and golfing.
Travel
Use of car is essential. 2-3 hours away from Paris. North of Lassay Les Chateaux is Caen and Le Havre.
Distances
A couple of kilometers away from Lassay Les Chateaux, the nearest village, with many local shops such as butcher, bank, post office, bakery, flower shop town hall etc. Traditional French Chateaux can be found in Lassay in great condition. In fact we have approx 3 castles in the village. One fully intact and the other more derelict. You can book a tour around the castle in Lassay for a few Euros and is fascinating history told in French and English.
Further details
Slightly larger supermarket just outside Lassay on the road to Coutern/Bagnoles. LeClerc huge supermarket located approx 20km away in Ferte Mace.

We will recommend it to friends, although not everyone wants the peace and quiet Lassay Les Chateaux provides! I fell in love with the place ... if you ever want to sell...
