The apartments are part of a historic stone house dating from the early 18th Century which has now been converted into two apartments. Access is from a quiet side street, to a communal hall area leading to the apartments which have just been upgraded, fitted out and redecorated. With new kitchens and appliances, the apartments also have free internet WIFI access so you can bring your laptop and stay connected. There is also Freeview satellite TV which receives UK TV channels. The apartments overlook the river Rance, a few steps from the old stone bridge linking the port area to Lanvallay. There is a selection of good restaurants and cafes close by, as well as a very good bakery. You can park for free just outside the apartments, or a short walk away. We can supply bedlinen or towels of you need this, and have a cot, highchair and baby bath to save you bringing your own.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Sterling.
We can supply the following options for you:
Bedlinen and towels (£15 per person per week).
Baby kit (cot, highchair, baby bath) (£20).
End of stay clean (£35).
Normal usage of electricity/gas is included within the rent between May to August. Between September and April, elec/gas is recharged at the end of your stay, this ranges between 20 and 50 euros depending on consumption.
Changeover day
We're pretty flexible on changeover days, we prefer Saturdays during the peak summer months, but please just ask.

Access is from a quiet side street, leading to a communal hall area, stairs lead to the apartment which is on the first floor with a separate front door. Entering the apartment, there is a well equipped corner kitchen and living area with beautiful views to the river, the old bridge and port area. Separate WC. Bathroom with bath,shower and basin. Two double bedrooms. Convertible sofa bed in the living area to provide additional sleeping for up to two. |

Notes on accommodation
Can be rented together to sleep larger groups of up to 8.
Outside
Millefleurs has a separate garden is accessed from the sitting room of the apartment. Here there is a small grassy area, flower beds, garden furniture and a barbecue available in the summer. At the end of the garden is a gate giving direct access to the tow path and river. The tow path just outside the apartments, leads off in both directions into the countryside towards the pretty villages of Lehon and Taden. This is really popular with runners,walkers and cyclists, and a great place to take a picnic, watch the wildlife and relax. Cycle hire is available on the port of Dinan for 12 Euros a day, less for children, canoes and kayaks can also be hired from a club which is very close to the apartment. There is also a very good heated open air pool at Lehon which is about 2km away.
Please note, Fleur de Lys does not have a garden.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful North Brittany coast can be reached by car in 30 minutes from the apartments. There are a number of beautiful sandy beaches here as well as attractive coves and family oriented coastal towns. Our favourites include the beaches at Pen Guen and Saint Jacut, the towns of Dinard, Saint Malo and Saint Briac and the ruined castle and sandy coves of Chateau Guildo - a hidden gem!
Golf
There is a good number of excellent golf courses a short drive away from the house, including Dinard (founded in 1887), St Malo, Pen Guen (St Cast) and Sables D'Or at Cap Frehel. Perhaps the best course is located at Pleneuf Val Andre, which should be on every golfers 'must play' list. As the language can sometimes be a barrier, we can liaise with the course on your behalf.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding, tennis, sailing and golf are all available within a 30 minute drive from the Dinan.
Travel
Dinan is easily reached from the port of St Malo , an easy 40 minute drive, or the nearby airport of Dinard about 20 minutes away - Ryanair offer very low cost flights from the UK . The Ferry ports of Roscoff , Cherbourg and Caen are all within 2 hours easy drive on France's well maintained road network.
Distances
The apartments are located on the quiet side street of the Rue du Four by the river in the port of Dinan. The cobbled street Rue du Petit Fort links the port to the historic town centre of Dinan - this is steep but worth the effort to see the well preserved timber framed medieval buildings lining the street. You can walk up to town in about 5 minutes, or you can take a bus from the port up to the town centre, which has a train station.
St Malo is about 35 minutes away by car, Rennes about 40.
Further details
The port area and town of Dinan has been remarkably well preserved and contains many beautiful old buildings, as well as a medieval castle and impressive stone ramparts with high town gates. The town is proud of its heritage and promotes many activities throughout the year, and with a very good selection of restaurants attracting both locals and visitors alike. Unlike some locations, Dinan remains open throughout the year, Spring and Autumn are particularly good times to visit - good weather but less busy than the peak Summer months.
One of the highlights of the Dinan calendar is the Fete des Remparts - one of Europe's biggest medieval festivals - which takes place every two years in the third week in July (the next one takes place July 2012). Other events include a weekend of live music, jousting on boats on the port, fireworks on July the 14th and a series of free open air jazz concerts in August.
Booking notes
Please contact us to make a booking by email or by phone. We ask for a 25% deposit to confirm a reservation. The balance of the rental is payable 8 weeks before your holiday. A £200 refundable damages deposit is due 2 weeks before your stay and refunded within a week after you leave. The apartment will be clean and tidy upon your arrival, we ask you leave it in the same condition when you leave, or you can opt for our cleaning service.
