2 bedroom villa on 8 year old gated residence with a large communal pool. The residence is a 3 minute walk from the bustling medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes, with a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops and banks. The beautiful Mediterranean beaches and the Camargue National Park, famous for its flamingos, black bulls and white horses are within easy reach. Montpellier is 20 minutes away and Nimes, Arles, Uzes and the Pont du Gard are all within an hours drive, as are the Cevennes.

Changeover day
Saturday (10 am) is our usual changeover day, but we can be flexible if your travel plans differ. Arrival is strictly after 4pm, to enable our keyholder to prepare the house for you.

Bedlinen and towels provided, but not swimming towels. The property will be clean and bed linen available for you on arrival. Your breakage deposit will be returned when our key holder is satisfied that the property has been left in a good condition. |

Notes on accommodation
For July and August, we regret that bookings can only be accepted for a minimum of 2 weeks. During a 2 week let, if you require a change of towels and bedding midway through your stay, we will charge an extra 10 euro per person. For winter bookings, a surcharge of £20 per week will be levied if a drop in temperature requires heating to be switched on for all or part of the rental period.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair users, as both doors into the property have steps and the bedrooms are on the first floor. Regret no pets. Property is totally no smoking.
Outside
Small, enclosed private garden with ample shade. BBQ, wooden garden table and chairs and sun loungers are all available. All our neighbours are residents. Pool (open mid-May to mid-October) is accessible to residents only by means of a swipe key, and has toilet and shower.
Coast/Beach
Le Grau-du-Roi, a busy fishing village is 8km away, and a little further afield are the sandy dunes and beaches of Espiguette, Port-Camargue, Grande-Motte and Stes-Maries-de la Mer with opportunities to sunbathe, people-watch, swim, wind-surf, water and jet-ski and practise yachting.
Golf
Many quality Golf courses within a 30 mile radius.
Special interest holidays
Ideal for water-sports enthusiasts, walkers, bird-spotters. The Camargue is a haven for birds and in April 2010 our guests noted 135 different species of birds.
Travel
Montpellier, Nimes, Marseille, Carcassonne and Perpignan are all served by Easyjet, Ryanair or BA. Car hire is readily available at all airports and stations. Alternatively, the Motorail will bring you and your car to Avignon or Narbonne. Or the TGV will whisk you down to Montpellier. To drive from Calais takes approximately 11 hours, and we break the journey in Beaune, Macon or Dijon. If you require a taxi pick-up and drop off we can arrange this for you.
Distances
Aigues-Mortes with its lively Wednesday and Sunday markets is a stroll from the residence. Montpellier is 20 minutes. Arles and Avignon approximately 40 minutes. Nimes 40 minutes. Uzes and the Pont du Gard, under an hour. The Cevennes National Park is reachable in under an hour, and Marseille takes just over 1 hour.
Booking notes
You will need to pay a 30% non-refundable deposit on booking, along with a refundable £150 breakage deposit. The balance will be due 8 weeks before the start day.

About the owner
We bought the villa in Aigues-Mortes in 2004, and have been enjoying visiting as often as we can ever since. Since 2004 we have visited in all 4 seasons and have grown to love the area and the locals. We had been holidaying in the Languedoc-Roussillon area with our two teenagers since 1998, and got seduced by the charm and mystery of the Camargue, the superb beaches as well as loving the vibrant towns in the Gard and the Herault Departments, the Cevennes Mountains and the hills of Provence. All in all, there is so much to discover that even after all this time we still find something new to see or sample. Come and try out this area for yourselves!
