"Mas de Valbonne" is a charming 300 year old large stone build Provencal "Mas" located 5 mins walk from the beautiful traffic free Valbonne square. Is has been beautifully restored with a great eye for detail. It consists of 3 floors, and has a total of 400 m2 livingspace. Al fresco dining takes place in the large pebbled courtyard where shade is provided by a very old linden tree. From here steps lead to childsafe pool area with it's sun loungers. A further 6000m2 of garden outside the courtyard gates, include a boule court. Secure parking for several cars. There are 3 golf courses within 15 mins. There is an English couple that look after and live on the property. They speak fluent French and can organise you babysitters, maidservice, ironing, or a cook should you so desire (a "little" notice please). Mas de Valbonne is an excellent home away from home and a perfect base to explore the coast and mountains of the Cote d'Azur.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. The rental period normally starts at 16.00 hrs. and finishes at 10.00 hrs and we have to be strict, it is a big property.

All linen is included, excluding beach towels. A final clean is included, and the linen is changed once a week. Extra maidservice can be arranged with a little notice. So can babysitters or a cook should you so desire. |

Outside
There are two outside eating area's in the courtyard, easy access from kitchen.
The private childsafe pool measures 4m x 12m, has a diving board and can be heated. The pool area has sun loungers, a hot and cold shower and a WC.
Outside the gates of the courtyard is another 6000 sq.m. garden at your disposal with a boulecourt and a goalposts for the kids to play football to their heart's content.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of Cannes, Antibes, Juan les Pins, Theoule sur
Mer are all at your doorstep and within easy reach.
Golf
There are 3 golf courses within 15 mins from the property,
and quite a few more slightly further.
Mougins, Opio, Grasse, Mandelieu la Napoule, Biot, Villeneuve Loubet, the choice is yours.
Travel
The nearest airport is Nice Cote d'Azur, a 20 mins drive away. I would recommend carhire. Marseille or Toulon/Hyeres are other airports that could be used, they are both about 1 1/2 hrs drive away.
Distances
One is spoilt for choice of towns and villages to visit.
St.Paul de Vence, Grasse, Opio, Cannes, Gourdon are all within a 30 min. drive. Nice with it's promenade des Anglais and flowermarket 30 mins. Monaco 1 hr.
Also one could just hop across the border and visit an Italian market or have an Italian food extravaganza in one of the excellent restaurants. We can point you in the right direction.
Further details
Valbonne is a beautiful village with its stunning main square. There is a great provencal market every Friday morning (and lots more in other villages and towns nearby)
in the streets and square. Quaint little shops, art galleries and Antique shops certainly deserve a little attention too. There are excellent foodshops in town. The butchers and delicatessen provide a very high standard of
ready prepared meals.
