The Chalet is free from Sunday 25 March to Thursday 29 March. Each room would be £400 for two people uncatered and £500 catered!!!

A real luxury chalet Le Yeti is a very popular privately owned luxury chalet with staff for 12/14 guests near Méribel centre. We are proud of our personal service and exceptional meals. Features include en-suite bathrooms, Jacuzzi bath, roaring log fire, sun terrace, satellite TV, broadband internet, pool table, heated boot racks, antique Savoyard ornaments. We have been renting for 20 years and the vast majority of our guests return. The apartment has been awarded the prestigious "Label Meribel" by the tourist office. A Quality label is awarded to a few apartments or chalets, which meet a very high standard of cosyness, decoration & mountain touch. A high proportion of our bookings are repeat bookings.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.

The Chalet is free from Sunday 25 March to Thursday 29 March. Each room would be £400 for two people uncatered and £500 catered.
Please note that with our changeover system, the end of March period will give you five days skiing.

Changeover day
Guests can keep 2 rooms until 5pm on the Sunday they leave; guests arriving should have 2 rooms ready by 10 am on the Sunday they arrive, and the others in the evening.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
Money for food and wine should be given to chalet staff on arrival by the party leader. Budget about £70-£80 per person per week. Pricing generally offers a £200 per person per week reduction, compared to leading ski company prices (allowing for food, wine and travel costs); and we can say with confidence that the chalet offers a superior standard to those offered by British tour operators. We have no overheads to recover, and we have furnished for our enjoyment, not as cheaply as possible! All holidays start on a Sunday. Two rooms are ready for guests arriving at 10am, with the others ready by the evening. Guests departing can keep two rooms until 5pm. You can therefore have eight days skiing, two Sundays and the six other days, if you book for a week.

Skiing
Ideal location for skiing and snowboarding. Meribel is situated in the Trois Vallees ski area, the most extensive ski area in the world with 197 ski lifts, 37 black runs, 89 blue runs, 116 red runs, 49 green runs, 2 Olympic runs in Meribel, 375 miles of marked ski runs and over 110 km of cross country skiing.

The resort is high, so skiing is always possible. The season usually ends in early May. Thousands of snow machines have been installed to keep the snow quality high.

If the spirit is willing, you can successfully learn skiing at any age. Children over four also learn fast at an all-day kindergarten from 9am - 5pm. The day includes about four hours skiing, a good lunch, tea and much playing. Children under four but over 18 months are also welcome, but do not do formal skiing. Creches are available in Meribel for even younger children.

The ski slope is reached only 8 minutes walk or 1 minute's drive from the house. There is also a free bus service.

Special interest holidays
The resort is a traditional Alpine village and has much charm. All buildings are finished in stone and wood and have sloping roofs.

In 1992 it was a major centre for the Olympic Games hosting all the womens Alpine ski events and the ice hockey tournament.

As a result there is an Olympic ice rink plus bowling and an indoor swimming pool with slide, among other facilities.

Meribel hosts plenty of events; there’s always something going on. For instance it holds a Pro-Am ski race every year.

Travel
Scheduled flights to Geneva are generally available from £120 return. Meribel is a two-hour drive from either Geneva or Lyon airports. With four people sharing car hire, this costs about £60 per person a week for the transfer. We can also organise a minibus transfer for guests at a similar price.

Distances
You can easily drive from England. There is motorway from Calais straight through to Alberville, then dual carriageway to Moutiers, when you come to Meribel in 20 minutes.

Calais to Meribel is about an eight-hour drive with no stops. We expect driving to take about 12 hours from London including the Channel crossing, compared to up to 8 hours for flying allowing for check-in and luggage collection.

Further details
The chalet is blissfully quiet, being just outside the centre of Meribel. But of course bars and the bustle of Meribel are within easy reach!

There are many excellent restaurants for lunch in the Trois Valley. By Rond Point is the Marie Blanc. Courchevel has many excellent restaurants among them are the Bel Air at the top 1650,and the Bistro du Praz at 1300.

The Vallee des Belville also offers a wide choice; try the Michelin rated La Bouitte by the church) at Saint Marcel.

On the chalet staff’s night off, we recommend Le Croix Jean Claude in Les Allues or Le Refuge in the middle of Meribel.

There are many other restaurants and bars in Meribel. If you still have energy, the famous Dick’s T-bar is 2 minutes walk from the chalet.

Of course Meribel boasts many ski shops, lovely boutiques, delicatessens and cake shops. Le Yeti guests can get 10% off ski hire.

To confirm a booking we need to receive a deposit. Full payment is due no later than 12 weeks prior to departure. Cancellation before full payment date will result in loss of deposit. After full payment date, any money will only be refunded if another letting can be made.
