'La Roseraie' is an elegant property, in its own extensive grounds, so private and peaceful, it is surprising that the local village shops, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and the vibrant Sunday Market are just a stroll away. The gites are independent, fully equipped, with modern kitchens and beautiful rooms. The lovely Bed & Breakfast offers elegant comfort & relaxation. Leisure room has TV, DVDs, books & games. Set in the rolling countryside of the Vienne, we are ideally located for visits to the chateaux of the Loire Valley, day trips to La Rochelle and Ile de Re and the media theme park 'Futuroscope'. The historic medieval city of Poitiers is half an hour away. Within the property, there are swings for children and a ping pong table for everyone, whilst the heated and salt-treated pool area offers the opportunity to sunbathe or relax under the canopy of a giant walnut tree. Our popular 'tables d'hotes' suppers are an option, usually served in the gardens on warm evenings.

You also have the option of joining our other guests for our popular 'tables d'hotes' evening meals, usually served in the garden in summer.
"I travelled to France with my husband and children aged 3 and 5. We stayed at La Roseraie in the larger gite - L'Atelier - for 6 nights. From the moment we drove through the gates we knew that we had struck gold! The entire property is magnificantly maintained. Our gite was spacious, had been thoroughly modernised but still retained its rustic charm. The pool was immaculate and the garden areas lovely to sit in and relax. Heather was fantastic in suggesting child-friendly places to visit (inc chateaux). We dined in the B & B twice and each time had an exquisite meal. This property is featured in Alisdair Sawday's book and it certainly deserves to be" by Fussy Traveller, Australia

'Thank you so much Heather and Michael for 2 fantastic weeks at La Roseraie. The gite was perfect and the pool and gardens a little piece of paradise. We also loved the close proximity to the town square with its market and boulangeries. We would love to visit again in the future.'
'We had a excellent time staying at La Roseraie. Our hosts were very warm and helpful. My 2 year old son loved the gite & the surroundings tremendously. The gite is cosy and comfortable. We look forward to returning next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.'
'We recently returned from a wonderful stay with Heather and Michael at La Roseraie. Great place for families of all ages. Without doubt the Gite was one of the best we have stayed in. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Heather and Michael.'

About the owner
Michael and Heather have been living in France for 5 years. We have travelled extensively, but there is something extra-special about France. We love the great food and wine, the fairy-tale chateaux, the fascinating cities and villages and the jealously-guarded traditional way of life, where hospitality and time for friends & family are treasured. We live on-site and are always happy to provide information on 'what to do and see' in this diverse region and get a thrill when we see our guests happy and relaxed. We have also been able to indulge our love of interior design and art, by decorating each of our gites and rooms individually. Heather prepares delicious, locally sourced meals and Michael can be tempted out for a game of golf. Most of all, we are 'people' people.
