Changeover day
Preferred changeover day will be Saturday but we may be flexible out of season and please check for long weekends up to June and after August.

Notes on accommodation
The lounge has a Godin wood-burning stove and all rooms have electic heaters for those out of season nights. We also have cycles for your use.
Accessibility
There are 2 steps down from the lounge to the kitchen and bathroom, apart from that the house is on 1 level as is the garden.
Outside
Many fruit trees welcome you to our quiet home in the hills above Saint Antonin, enjoy the views down the spectacularly beautiful, untouched valley from our new for 2010 private pool, it is 7x4m and all one depth with roman steps, we have a shaded patio area under a Twisted Willow with a table and chairs a swing for small children and a BBQ. Tranquillity at its best. Bring a book a bottle of wine and relax.
Travel
The nearest airport is Toulouse which is 1 hour's drive and Carcasonne which is 2 hours drive with cheap flight from Ryanair.
Distances
The town of Saint Antonin Noble Val is about 10 mins drive away, also the bastide town of Najac, with its impressive castle looking down on the cobbled streets with its shops and cafes is about 30 mins drive.
Cordes is a beautiful hilltop town with a mini train taking you to the main square and castle.
Albi is about 50 mins drive with the Toulouse Lautrec museum, astonishing cathedral and of course wonderful shopping.
Further details
Saint Antonin has all you need for your holidays with its famous Sunday market. It has a bank, 1 post office, 2 supermarkets, 1 butcher, 2 bakers, 1 newsagent and quite a few restaurants and cafes.
The river Aveyron runs through the town and from here you can hire a canoe and take a trip down the river stopping off for a picnic amongst the beautiful gorges. Saint Antonin was used for the filming of Charlotte Grey starring Cate Blanchett. The town also has an openair pool for the summer months. For the more active there is hang-gliding, pot holing, and climbing and we also have cycles at the house and local maps.
While you are here try to visit the wine region of Gaillac and sample some of the regions wines at one of the many Domains.

About the owner
My wife and I bought this property in feb.2009 and spent all of that year renovating. We intend to retire here in the next 3 years until then I hope you enjoy the property, the brand new pool, and the magnificent views we offer you.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Goutoulas is so very quiet, yet so easy to get to villages and towns. Walking routes straight from the door, we also love cycling and bikes are at the house, there is a great cycling track which goes for miles alongside the river Aveyron. The river is also good for fishing. A very outdoor holiday and with the new pool for 2010 it has everything.
