The house is set within its own Ariel of 2.5 acres of woodland of the Landes Forest in the National Park. It benefits from having its own 10x5.5m swimming pool and guests have the sole use of this pool. Along side the pool is a large decked area furnished with sun beds, patio table and parasol, close to which, is a BBQ. Within the grounds is a 5m trampoline (use of this item is at your own risk), also there is a child’s swing and seesaw. There are also some bikes for your use so you can enjoy a nice cycle through the forest. Sky satellite TV is available in the lounge which will receive all the English Free view channels. This TV also benefits from a DVD recorder and numerous films. Within easy walking distance of Sabres village.

Changeover day
Saturdays, during June , July & August. Arrival after 4pm. Departure by 10am.
Out of high season other days can be accomadated.

Linen is provided,guests are expected to provide their own pool towels. Sufficient linen is provided for the total duration of the rental period, at the end of the rental period. The linen and house will be cleaned for the next guests. |

Accessibility
All of the accommodation is at ground floor level, which is safe for children and also suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Outside
Outside, two patio sets, sun loungers, parasol, barbeque, 5m trampoline (no safety net and the use of this, is at your own risk), sandpit, swing and see saw. The swimming pool is 10x5.5m above ground pool which is partially below ground. This has the benefit of being child friendly, so you know that your children are safe . We also have some bikes here which can be used , So you can enjoy a nice bike ride through the forest .
Alongside the pool is a large decked area close to the barbeque where you can enjoy nice evening meals and a quiet drink. This area is also ideal for sun bathing with sun loungers and patio set supplied.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is Mimizan 40km which has a great surfing beach and miles of clean sandy shores. The whole of the coastal beaches are at the most one hour drive away. The surfing world championships are held in Hossegor a 45 min drive away.
Golf
Some of France's oldest and most famous golf courses are found in Aquitaine. The house is ideally situated between the cities of Bordeaux and Biarritz, around which you will find over a dozen courses, a couple being amongst the best in Europe. Some are in beautiful coastal settings. The climate is warm and sunny from the beginning of spring until well into November and the courses are immaculate and uncrowded. Many of our guests who come in the summer play a course or two during their stay. It is possible to book a low cost flight to Bordeaux or Biarritz .Making it an ideal destination for a golfing week away. Come with a group of friends or family for a great golfing holiday. Golf du Medoc, Bordeaux-Pessac, Gujan Mestras, Moliets, Seignosse, Arcangues, Biarritz, Lacanau, Biscarosse, Hossegor, Mont de Marsan and Pau.
Special interest holidays
The village and the famous Marqueze (Museum of old French life) are within easy walking distance. Mexico activity centre is approximately a 5 minute drive, here can be found Canoeing, archery VTT bike riding, quad biking and adventure tree top climbing. Bordeaux, the vineyards and other things to do: Bordeaux (40 minutes drive) is a beautiful, historic and lively city with much heritage and lots of amenities. There is something for everyone from shops and theatre to harbour-front, magnificent gothic cathedral and beautiful architecture. The old quarter featuring narrow streets and medieval gateways houses the local artisans' shops. There is also much to explore in the beautiful areas surrounding Bordeaux including the fantastic historic hilltop village of St Emillion. The world famous vineyards and chateaux of Bordeaux are in abundance in the region and many offer tasting and tours and welcome you to stop and buy direct.

Nearest airport Bordeaux at 100km. Nearest ferry: Bilbao at 150km. Nearest train Labouheyre at 17km. Nearest motorway Solferino at 15km. Nearest beach at 40km. Car is necessary.
Distances
Dax is famed for its natural hot water springs of 62.4 degrees centigrade, and healing mud from the River Adour. The Roman baths are a focal point for Dax and there are several hot water outlets around the town, where you can take a mud bath, or just bathe in the waters.
In August Dax holds its annual fete, two weeks of celebrations ending in a magnificent firework display. Approx 45 minutes by car.
Further details
The house is 0.5km from the nearest village, Sabres, where you will find the usual village shops, the most important being the baker's for croissant in the morning (an easy stroll).
Every Thursday there is a local open air market held in the village square. Sabres village has a small supermarket, Two boulangeries, butchers, chemist, petrol station and post office, also there are 3 restaurants.
There is a larger supermarket approx 10km away at Labrit Our area, Les Landes, is generally a very quiet farming corner of France, though the traditional summer village and town festivals in August are something to behold. Pretty villages are a short drive from the house.
The house is within easy reach of a safe lake (Lac d’Arjuzanx). The Great Dune of Pyla - it is possible to visit the highest dune in Europe, the Great Dune of Pyla (or Pilat). This dune reaches a height of 107m. At this summit, the view is spectacular.

Booking can be made by telephone to home number or by email. 25% to be paid at time of booking (non refundable). 75% to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date, plus a £750 deposit, For breakages, damage to the property and damage to the swimming pool, this will be returned within 7 days of your departure following an inventory.

The reason we bought this house is that was we used to come on holiday in this region for 1 month every year. We loved it so much we thought we should live here. It is easy access from all airports and ferry ports.
Unique benefits of the property
It is a nice quiet rural location but within easy access of sporting activities such as skiing within 1.5 hours and surfing only a 40 minute drive away. Close to the beautiful city of Bordeaux. You will find that you are quite central to various well-known locations in south west France such as Dax, Lourdes, Dordorgne and Dune de Pyla.
