The village of le Bugue is situated on the banks of the Vezere river, every Tuesday a large market. Le Bugue has a central position in the Dordogne (Perigord) thus it is easy to reach activities eg canoeing, tennis, golf, horse riding, fishing and swimming. Also within easy reach of historical villages eg Sarlat, Bergerac, Monpazier, Tremolat, Domme and the famous caves Lascaux and many Castles.

About the owner
My husband and I moved from Holland to the Dordogne 11 years ago. We had our own hotel in Holland and needed to get away from the stress of running your own business. We love it here and for my husband's health situation it has been excellent. We speak Dutch, English and German and off course French (although I still struggle with the french). From owning a hotel in Holland we know what holiday makers are looking for when they go on holiday. We try to give every comfort and we are always ready to help in anyway.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
For the holiday makers who do not know the Dordogne, it is a lovely part of France...........many historic villages, castles, bastides and beautiful country site.
Le Bugue and surroundings are especially beautiful as the rivers Vezere and Dordogne flow gently thru the country site.
