Entirely restored in 1999, and tastefully decorated by the owners, with interesting local architectural details, this lovely cottage of local stone invites you to escape into a dream world of relaxation. The lounge opens onto a very attractive natural enclosed garden, and a large decorative open fire, bread oven and oak beams, all help you to create a homely feeling. Only 35kms from Les Sables d'Olonne, 50 kms from La Rochelle, 13kms from A golf, La Domangere, at Nesmy.

Ground floor: lounge/diner, kitchen, 1 shower room with WC and basin, 2 separate mezzanine bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin (150 m2).

The gite is equipped to a high standard: washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, colour satellite TV, Video, radio, cot, garden furniture, BBQ. Off road secure parking for 1 car. Sorry no pets. Bed linen and towels included inthe rent. Electric heating,taxes, all fuel and power included in rent May-Sept, 50 euros supplement Oct-April.

A large and very comfortable guest room with a large bed. A private shower room with toilet, TV, tea and coffee making facilites and a marvellous and copious french breakfast with home made patisseries, flans, marmalade, fruits.
Minimum stay 2 nights. For a night or a week, you will enjoy a beautiful, charming, secluded oasis, an unique and conforting chambre.

 

Notes on accommodation
During summer, the cottage is very comfortable, even if it is very hot outside because our walls are thick and keep the inside fresh!

Accessibility
The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed 4 persons and exterior visitors are not permitted.

Outside
You really will enjoy the very nice natural enclose garden, so quiet and the relax atmosphere with birds and lizards...

Coast/Beach
Situated on the west coast of FRANCE, the Vendee is a nature lover's paradise, wild and beautiful with many fabulous golden sandy beaches, with dunes and pines forests. Longeville sur Mer at 22km. La Tranche sur Mer at 25km. Les Sables d'Olonne at 30km.

Golf
The cottage is close to the golf course of La Domangere, about 10 minutes drive. The highest slope in France, with a wealth of shots to be played, La Domangere is a delightful course that those in search of new challenges will want to experience (green fees 18 holes, par 72, 6472 m, slope 150)
If you prefer, Port Bourgenay, on the edge of the sea is about 26kms away.

Special interest holidays
Located in an attractive country hamlet with a lot of enjoy in the area, in the heat of vineyards, only 35 kms from Les Sables D'Olonne, 50 kms from La Rochelle. Ideally situated to explore Vendee, close to historic towns and picturesque villages. Walking, cycling, fishing nearby in the river (La Valle de L'yon with its old mills), and also an excellent golf course at Nesmy.

All sorts of shops at 6kms (Mareuil sur Lay), with bank and Post office (Intermarche is open every Sunday morning).
Many bigs supermarkets at La Roche-sur-yon (20 mins drive) and Lucon.
On place, nice local wines (FIEFS VENDEENS MAREUIL)
In the charming locals markets, you will find all sort of fish, seafood, melons, tomatoes, and also local wines!

Booking notes
A 20% deposit require at booking. A secure damages deposit required (200 euros). You have to leave the gite clean at departure. A retention from the secure deposit could be made if the client leaves the Property in an unacceptable condition. Credit carts are not accepted. More details on our website.
