The house is situated on the Plateau de Sault in the eastern Pyreness. It is approx 1.5 hrs from Toulouse, Carcassone and Perpignan airports. There is superb walking, cycling, swimming and skiing in the winter. The nearest ski resort is 15 mins away with up to 10 resorts within 45 mins by car. The house is about 1.5 hrs from the Mediterranean. The village is quiet and in a beautiful mountain location at 1000 metres altitude. The house is a traditional stone house with red tiles cool in the Summer and Warm in the winter. The games room has table tennis and other games. In the Summer there are small fetes in all the villages plus boules and tennis competitions. The house has a large attic ideal for young people/children and 4 double bedrooms. There is an enclosed courtyard and garden with outside tables. The courtyard has parking for 2/3 cars. It is approx 1 hr from Andorra and 1.5 hrs from Spain to explore different countries.

We are flexible on the changeover days and times.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1, 2, 3, 4 all have double beds. There is a large attic with several beds, a television and lounge chairs. |
| Bathrooms: | There are 2 bathrooms one with a bath and shower and one with shower only. There are 3 toilets, one in upstairs bathroom and 2 separate toilets downstairs. |
| Kitchen: | There is a large cooker with 5 gas rings and an electric cooker. There is a large fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. |
| Utility Room: | There is a washing machine in the hall and hoover, broom etc and larder under the stairs. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room is a large space made up of an open plan kitchen and dining room. There is a wood burning stove which is the centre piece of the room. The house has gas fired central heating in all rooms. There is a large dining table and Welsh dresser. |
| Other: | There is a barn to store bikes and skis. We can hire skis. Above the barn is a games room with a full size table tennis table. |

Notes on accommodation
The house is suitable for families and the village with a safe swimming lake, play park, tennis courts, boules and other sports is ideal for families.
Outside
There are outside dining tables in both the courtyard and garden with garden chairs, sun loungers and barbecue.
Coast/Beach
There is a swimming lake in the village and several other swimming lakes in the area. It is about 1.5 hrs to the coast.
Skiing
We are within 45 mins of several alpine ski reorts inc Ax les Therms (Bonastre) and Ascou Pailheres. Our nearest ski resort is 15 mins away at Camurac. There are also Ski de Fond/nordic (cross country sking) at Col de Choula (20 mins).
Travel
Toulouse, Carcassone and Perpignan airports are 1.5 hrs away and Barcelona and Girona are 2-3 hrs away.
Distances
Carcasssone is 1.5 hrs, Andorra 1hr, Perpignan 1.5hrs. Ax les Therms 45 min. The nearest main towns are Quillan 30 min and Belesta 20 min.

There is a bank, restaurant (Logis de France), bar, bakery, butcher, supermarket, post office.
Booking notes
No booking will be confirmed without receipt of deposit of 25% of the rental. Please email or phone to enquire re bookings. Full payment will be required at least 1 month before booking. The deposit which is above the total rental will be returned less any damage bills such as logs.

About the owner
We bought the house as a place to take our large family. We are professional people that like France and outdoor activities. We live in the UK and it is our second home. We want to rent the house to help pay the bills and to share the house with other people.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We like mountain locations. It is snowy in the winter and warm in the Summer. it is still very unspoilt with a wilderness feel about the mountains. The village of Belcaire is on the Palteau de Sault which is a fertile area of the Pyrennees.

It is a very special place in a very friendly village with a mix of locals who live all year round and visitors from France and England that come and stay from time to time.
