The gite is 25 minutes from Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne. Sarlat and Bergerac, both popular tourist sites are approx. 1 hrs drive as are Limoges and Angouleme. St Emillion and Bordeaux and around 2hrs away. Closer by is St. Jean de Cole (one of the 'most beautifull villages in France' and Brantome (the 'Venice of the Dordogne'). The nearest town Thiviers is excellent for stocking up on supplies and has a renowned market on Saturday mornings. The gite itself has around an acre of grounds, comprising lawns, woods and an enclosed terrace area with barbeque, table and chairs.
