Skiing
Samoens is the only 'historically listed' ski resort in France and is part of Grand Massif ski area with 256km of runs. A new lift system was added this season that makes it possible to be skiing in the Flaine area within 20 minutes. Daily Mail recently described it as charming and vibrant and best for 'All standards, non-skiers, gourmets'. Recent winner of Best Small resort (Europe).

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with Samoens just over two years ago by accident while holidaying in Morzine and going out for a somewhat haphazard drive in the area. Despite having skied extensively in France and Austria, I have never been to a more beautiful place. Unlike other ski-resorts, it is a year-round resort which has often been described as like the Lake District on steroids! It is however much warmer than the Lake District in spring, summer and autumn.
Unique benefits of the property
Unlike like most alpine chalets, Chalet Harmonie is very central and a short walk (on the flat) to bars, restaurants, cinema and theatre.
