Saint Martin de Belleville (1450m) is a charming, traditional, old Savoyard village with an authentic village square and beautiful Baroque church at its centre. It is an ideal place for skiing the Trois Vallées, the largest composite ski area in Europe, accessed by a modern telecabine. The village offers all the necessary amenities including a bank, post office, pharmacy, newsagent, butcher, supermarket and ski equipment /rental shops. There are plenty of restaurants ranging from a Michelin-starred (St Marcel) to a pizzeria. Snow reliability is good due to the snow-making cannons.

Changeover day
Saturday to Saturday. The apartment will be ready for occupation between 4pm and 5pm on the first day of the rental period, and will need to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Bedrooms: 2 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 2 single beds convertible to 1 single bed (allowing room for cot) or to a king-size bed if desired. Ample storage comprising chests of drawers, cupboards, wardrobes and shelves. All bedrooms have mountain views.
Bathrooms: One family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and toilet, also storage and a drying cupboard. One newly appointed shower room with shower, basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: With a wonderful view of the piste down to the ski lift, the separate kitchen is very well equipped; dishwasher, full size fan oven and grill, induction hob, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a table and seating for informal dining.
Living Rooms: A large (40m²), bright room with 2 three-seater leather settees, pine furniture, flat screen TV (satellite reception, including UK channels), DVD and VHS players, and hi fi unit. One wall is almost entirely window, with opening doors on to the balcony.
Other: A ski locker (a large walk-in secure cupboard) is situated in the basement of the building, where skis can be kept and which is for the sole use of the apartment.

Notes on accommodation
The light, spacious apartment covers the whole of the top floor of the building (90m²) and features timber beams and pine furniture. All the windows have attractive mountain views. Off the living room is a formal dining area and also a separate kitchen. There is electric underfloor heating throughout and wall-mounted heaters in all the rooms. A comprehensive Welcome folder covers all aspects of the apartment and St Martin. Wi-fi is available with a code from the tourist office. This is a no smoking and no pets apartment.

Accessibility
The apartment is accessed by stairs.

Skiing
St Martin is an ideal base for skiing the Trois Vallées area. The high-speed telecabine links into the 600km of pistes covering Meribel, Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. There are blue and red runs leading back to the village. St Martin has its own ski school and ski nursery. The telecabine, the ski school meeting point, lift pass office and ski hire shops are all within about 50m of the apartment building. It is possible to ski to within 10m of the entrance to the apartment building, which is situated at the foot of the piste.

Travel
By car: Calais 600 miles; almost entirely by autoroutes (if desired).
By air: Lyon, Geneva, Grenoble 2-2½hrs. Chambery 1hr.
By train: Eurostar or the ski train from London to Moutiers. Moutiers to St Martin half hour by taxi or bus.

Further details
There is plenty of parking close by. A small supermarket within about 15 metres of the exit from the apartment building is open till late, and sells ready-made meals and a good range of food and household items. Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance.

Booking notes
A 25% deposit would be required with the booking, with final payment due 6 weeks (42 days) or sooner before the arrival date, including a refundable security deposit.
