Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturdays & Sundays during the summer & flexible during the rest of the year. Arrival/Departure times are flexible according to other bookings.

The apartment has heating for the winter months. The gardens are great fun for children! Beautiful, clean pool with unparalled views along the Basque coast. Very private apartment, on-one can see you in the apartment or on the terrace!

Accessibility
The residence, grounds and apartment are all wheelchair accessible. There is a lift in the residence.
Outside
The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The private terrace is accessed from the lounge, with outdoor furniture for dining. The resident's swimming pool is round and approx 10 metres with stunning views.
Coast/Beach
Socoa beach is only 400m from the apartment. St Jean de Luz bay has several beaches, the main beach is the most popular for families. There are miles of beautiful beaches to the north towards Biarritz & Hossegor and south towards Spain. The area is perfect for surfing, windsurfing, diving & other marine activities. The Basque Country is home to some of the best surfbreaks in the world, such as Cavaliers, Lafitania, Guethary, Avalanche & Belharra as well as Hossegor's world class beachbreaks!
Golf
There are many golf courses in the region, such as Golf de la Nivelle, only minutes from the apartment.
Skiing
The apartment is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees with ski stations within 1.5 hours drive.
Travel
Biarritz (BIQ) airport is only 15 mins drive from the apartment, Ryanair fly daily from London Stansted and Dublin. Pau (PUF) airport is 1hr drive, Ryanair fly daily from London Stansted. Bilbao (BIO) airport is 90 mins drive, Easyjet fly daily from London Stansted.
Eurostar trains run from Waterloo to Paris & then change direct to St Jean de Luz station, only 2 mins from the apartment.
The main roads A63 & N10 run through St Jean de Luz with 2 exits (north and south). A car is recommended.

From the apartment, the Beach is 400m, the Mountains are only 3 miles, Spain is only 4 miles , Biarritz is 10 miles, Guethary is 4 miles, Hossegor is 15 miles, San Sebastien is 15 miles & Bordeaux is 120 miles (all distances approx.)
Further details
In St Jean de Luz bay there are sailing and scuba diving schools. There are also organised children's activities on the beach. The town has all the facilities you would expect, such as shops, banks, restaurants (a lot!) and evening events including 'torro de fuego'(an imitation bull with fireworks and confetti fights for the children). There are often bands playing in the town square. Bars are open late and the locals are friendly!
Booking notes
We accept payment by cheque or bank transfer. 50% deposit to be paid upon booking. 50% balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival date.
£100/€150 Euro breakage deposit to be paid in cash on arrival (fully refunded after the property has been left in order). There is also a £30/€50 cleaning fee payable on arrival.
