Refurbished (2005), spacious 30 sqm apartment located in the middle of Les Deux Alpes with easy access to the whole resort. Easy arrival with full in-resort service provided by our key holder. Ample storage and an allocated ski locker; communal parking available. Ski to the door from the Pied Moutet side of the valley. Winter season runs from end November-end April, summer including skiing on glacier June-end August. The glacier at 3600m provides guaranteed skiing year-round. Shops /amenities /ski hire are on the doorstep, as are restaurants and a stroll into town for bars. Availability screen is always kept up to date.

Living Rooms: Good size living room - three seater sofa + chair. Dining area and table. French windows to good size balcony. TV/DVD.

Notes on accommodation
The studio is on the third floor of an apartment-style building; lifts are in the entrance hall. Skiing to your door from the Pied Moutet side of the valley brings you to the entrance hall adjacent to the lifts and ski locker.

Outside
A short stroll in any direction takes you to bars & restaurants. Just 100m opposite the apartment is the main Jandri Express to take you from resort height direct to 3400m. Also in this area is the outdoor swimming pool complex (open year-round) and ice-skating rink.

Golf
9 hole golf course in summer months.

Skiing
Les Deux Alpes is at 1650m with skiing from 1300-3600m. The liftpass now also includes Alpe d'Huez, which can also be reached in 10 mins by helicopter. The resort is as busy in the summer months as winter with glacier skiing, mountain biking & various events and festivals. An outdoor pool (opposite the apartment) is included in the lift pass & is open in the winter. You can have the type of holiday you want in Les2Alpes - busy or quiet - restaurants vary from Michelin star local cuisine to international /fast food and there is good apres ski if you choose it. A good all-round resort for all types of skier/boarder. See our website link below for further info.

Winter: skiing, boarding, skating, walking, glacier. Summer: mountain biking, paragliding, white water rafting, skating, swimming, ice gliding, tennis, rock climbing, golf, trampolining, bungee jumping, adventure park, horse riding.

Travel
Low cost carriers fly to all of the closest airport - Grenoble (90 mins away), St Etienne / Lyon (2½hrs), Turin / Geneva (2½/3hrs). Les Deux Alpes is a 7-8hr drive from Calais.

Distances
You can ski a range of other resorts, including Alpe d'Huez 32km, Serre Chevalier 67km, Valloire 62km, Montgenevre & Milky Way/Italian Alps 74km.

‘Very easy booking process, quick response and no problems. Information very useful & reliable. Right amount of info and everything correct. Compared to apartment description, better than expected. We obviously saw the photos but first impression was of a spotlessly clean apartment which for a studio had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent location, fantastic view. Handy for everything (ideal with bakery next door). Extremely comfortable and with three young children we probably spent more time in the apartment than most. We felt at home’ - Mr Marko Miletic, family of 5.

About the owner
We live in Sussex and the apartment is family owned. We'd thought about getting a place in the Alps for some time as a get-away and place to take the children when they're older.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We searched for a resort that is easily accessible from the UK by air or road, with lots of skiing and high with guaranteed snow. A bonus is the skiing in the summer on the glacier. After our first visit to the resort in 2004 we knew this was the place. The apartment's central location sold it to us as it's ideal for the whole resort, and after refurbishing it's now a modern cosy apartment ideal for a week's ski...or ski and mountain bike in the Summer.

Unique benefits of the property
Views from the balcony are fantastic and you can see the whole resort and lifts 100m opposite which take you to the very top of the range at 3580m. With easy access to the whole resort you can enjoy all it has to offer. Our key holder in resort provides all the services you'd get from a package holiday so although you travel independently you have the comfort of someone in resort for pre-bookings or on hand for anything else.
