Moulin Niras is a 17th century olive oil mill which has been meticulously renovated and extended by renowned local architect, using local stone, terracotta and wood. It has been featured in the Daily Mail and Country Life magazine. The house is set in three acres of secluded gardens. Beyond, vineyards and protected woods create a peaceful and private setting, but the house is only a ten minute walk from the centre of the village of Callas. Five good-sized bedrooms, all with new en-suite bathrooms, accommodate ten guests plus an additional two children in comfort and privacy; each bedroom overlooks the gardens surrounding the house and has private outside access and sitting areas. The kitchen ably caters for large groups and includes a La Canche double-oven stove. Wireless internet access is available throughout the house and pool area plus there is a games room in the cave with table football and a TV/DVD player.

Changeover day
May to September are usually fully-booked when we must stick to a Saturday changeover day. But other times of year we're happy to offer flexible dates.

Bedlinen, bath towels and pool towels are supplied and changed weekly. The house also has a twice weekly maid service (6 hours per week), gardener and pool service all included. |

Notes on accommodation
The house caters well for children. There are 2 highchairs and 2 Graco Pack N Play travel cots, monitors and plastic-ware for use for little ones, plus large garden to explore with boules court, swimming pool, large grass areas and games room.
Outside
The three acres of gardens are complete private and secluded with the nearest neighbours a quarter mile away. The large private pool (12 by 6 metres and fitted with alarm) is surrounded by a flagstone terrace with teak wood loungers. The outside dining table seats 12. The landscaped gardens feature rose and herb gardens, a boules court, the old aquaduct, olive tree terraces, large grass areas, flower beds and lots of trees. And the long driveway has plenty of parking for 4-5 cars.
Coast/Beach
30 minutes to the beaches at St Raphael.
Golf
10 mins away at internationally renowned golf and spa resort Saint Andreol.
Travel
One hour to Nice international airport and one hour to Marseilles International Airport.
Distances
The village of Callas, 10 minutes walk away, has all the weekly necessities of general grocery store, post office, bar/cafe, creperie, couple of restaurants and superb wine shop. Moulin Niras has an information file with recommended restaurants lists included local Michelin-starred favourites. Callas sits half an hour to coastal towns such as Ste Maxime and less than an hour from Nice, Aix-en-Provence and the Gorges du Verdon (often called the Grand Canyon of Europe).

A local chef can also be offered to cook a special dinner at Moulin Niras and there are recommendations for local cooking courses.

To book, simply contact the owners who will provide a one page booking form to complete. The booking is then confirmed when a 40% deposit is made. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of your stay.
