The sitting area has modern brand new furniture and comfortably seats 8 adults, TV and DVD player and a magnificent inglenook fireplace.
Situated in the heart of Brittany, 10kms from the medieval town of Josselin and within a short distance of other historical towns such as Dinan and Vannes and all the attractions of the Gulf of Morbihan. Excellent beaches on both north and south coasts within easy reach.

Preferred changeover day is Friday but there is a possibility of flexibility outside peak times. Arrival not before 4pm departure by 10am.

Access to the property is via a track off a minor road with very little passing traffic so is safe for children. Plenty of parking available on gravel path outside the property. Teak garden furniture available. The garden has both sunny and shaded areas. Garden line available.
Coast/Beach
Both the magnificent sandy beaches of the north coast and the dramatic beaches of the south coast are approximately one hours easy drive from the house. These beaches are ideal for families providing sand, swimming and rock pools. The Morbihan coastline with fishing ports and numerous islands are 45 minutes drive.
Golf
9 hole lakeside setting golf course with practice area and putting area, plus hotel on site available to golfers within 15 minutes drive. Various other attractive 18 hole courses within 1 hours drive.
Travel
Airports - Dinard 1 hr, Rennes 1.25 hr, Lorient 1.25 hrs and Nantes 2hrs are the nearest. (Drive times).
Ferries - St Malo (1.5 hrs), Caen Cherbourg and Roscoff within 4 hrs drive. Calais and Boulogne 5-6 hr drive.
Distances
Mohon is 2kms with a boulangerie, bank, bar, restaurant and small supermarket. A choice of larger supermarkets are within 10kms and 15 mins drive at both Josselin and Ploermel. Lack with watersports, man-made beach and swimming slides at Ploermel 10min drive. Horse riding close by. 45 mins drive to Vannes and Auray. Forest of Lanouee and paimpont with 30 mins drive. Excellent restaurants at Guilliers, Josselin and Ploermel, all within 20 mins drive.

Weekly Saturday morning market at Jossellin and weekly Friday market at Ploermel. Cycle hire at both towns. Motorboat/canoe hire at Josselin. Weekly free open air concerts throughout summer at both towns.

About the owner
I live in England with my husband, two children, and our dog 'Trouble'. We have had several very happy holidays in France and all love the sense of freedom and tranquility the house offers. We are regularly joined by friends and their children during our stay at the house as there is plenty of room for us all and we can even find a quiet corner if needed.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the house originally as an escape from the noise and bustle of living and working in London. We have enjoyed getting to know the area and exploring the beaches, medieval towns, forests and countryside generally. During the summer there is always something going on in the towns and villages including festivals, open air concerts, and various fairs.
Unique benefits of the property
A local tradesman delivering something to the house complimented us on our 'very pretty house'. We have tried to maintain it's rustic character and provide a comfortable and modern setting to make all visitors feel at home. We hope that all our visitors enjoy their stay at the house.
