The chalet is located just 50m from the free ski bus stop, running regularly to all the lifts in the Valley and into Morzine town centre, a brief 5 mins away. The nearest ski lift is 1km down the road, accessing straight into the Portes du Soleil. The chalet itself features a large (60sqm2) open-plan kitchen/living area on the second floor, with floor to ceiling windows, complete with a wood burning stove. French doors lead out to a balcony with stunning views towards the Pleney slopes in Morzine town. Bigger than average bedrooms are all en-suite with either a shower or shower/bath combination, with two double and two twin rooms - one of which can used as a family room. The chalet is fully equipped to cater for the independent holidaymaker with all mod-cons. including: Internet access/wi-fi, flat screen TV with Sky satellite channels, DVD, boot warmer, secure ski/board storage and parking for 2 cars.

Notes on accommodation
There is a wood burning stove and wood is provided in the winter. There is a garden/BBQ area for the summer.
Accessibility
Parking for 2 cars is right outside the front door. 3 bedrooms are accessed from the large front hallway, on the ground floor.
Outside
Outside garden area for lounging/BBQ plus balcony off the main sitting area. 200 metres from beautiful riverside walk up to national park wilderness or the other direction takes you into town along the River Dranse.
Coast/Beach
The lakeside beaches of Lake Geneva are only 40 minutes away. Thonon Le Bain has outdoor pools, and the lake itself offers a range of summer activities.
Golf
Both Avoriaz and Les Gets have summer golf courses. Open from June to October. Views of Mnt Blanc whilst putting! The famous Evian gold Course is only an hour away.
Skiing
The Portes du Soleil is the biggest linked ski region in Europe, if not the world. Morzine sits in the centre of it and hence is a great base to stay with easy access straight up to the main slopes from a number of lifts in town. The chalet is 50 metres from the free ski bus service, which runs regularly into town and to all the ski lifts. The nearest ski lift is just 1km away, and takes you straight up to the Portes du Soleil region. Ski passes can be bought for the whole area or for individual regions.
Special interest holidays
Biking - both road and mountain biking is extremely popular. The ski lifts convert to lifts that take bikes up the mountains. The Tour de France returns to Morzine on the 11th - 13th July.
Ski runs become beautiful summer meadows filled with wild flowers and later in the autumn offer up fantastic foraging opportunities with mrytles, mushrooms, wild raspberries and strawberries to be found!
Travel
Geneva airport (Easyjet and many airlines) is 1 hour 10 mins drive away. Transport to and from the airport is plentiful.

Further details
Morzine town is a lively centre featuring many bars and restaurants serving local Savoyard and international food and wine. There is a regular Wednesday morning market all year round and there are 3 supermarkets within the town itself. Ski equipment and outdoor activity hire shops are abundant.
Booking notes
Bookings are confirmed with a 25% deposit of the rental value. Final balances are due 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.

Morzine has been our home for 4 years. It offers a great base for skiing in the Portes du Soleil. During the summer, the town continues to be lively attracting many walkers and bikers.
