Welcome to gites at Cruzel. Our two self-catering accomodations are set in the picturesque village of Touffailles, [SW France], secluded in a beautiful valley with panoramic views across oakland woods and sunflower fields. Cruzel gites are a family-run business. We are here to make sure that you have a great holiday and enjoy this part of France as much as we do. Our two gites are fully equiped for self-contained holidays, a spacious cottage for 4 and a main house annex for 2. In our gites you can relax, unwind, forget the stresses and strains of modern life and enjoy the peaceful French countryside. For active holidays the Verdant valley offers walking, cycling, golf, horse riding and canoeing and much more. Touffailles has a boulangerie / grocery store, post office and tennis court 150m from the gites. We look forward to being your hosts during your holiday.

Bedroom has a queen size bed, 2 bedsides table/lams. Wardrobe, small sofa, chest of draws, large mirror. Bedroom is very specious with the nice views over the valley. Bathroom has a shower, towel dryer/heater, wc with the basin and storage shelf. kitchen area is compact , but well equipped. Gas cooker/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, iron/ironing board, washing machine. Cozy seating/dining area equipped with the TV/DVD/CD, double sofa bed, which could be used for extra sleeping space, book case, table games/DVDs/books, dinning table and 4 chairs. Highchair is provided on request. Linen and towels are included in the price. Maid service available on request for extra charge. |

Table tennis under the big marquee. Football net. Badminton net/rackets. Basketball unit. Bikes to borrow. Excellent tennis court free of charge across the road. Large infinity (12x6m) swimming pool. Swimming pool toys are provided. Sun beds. Hot shower/changing room next to the sauna. Solar shower next to the pool. Outside toilet next to the pool. BBQ next to the pool and another one on the gites patio. Comfortable well shaded seating/dining area under the big wooden terrace next to the pool. Sauna. Private woods and gardens.
Coast/Beach
2.5 hours drive to Narbone, south of France or 2.5 hours to the Atlantique coast near Bordeaux.
Golf
Golf -Nearby, if enjoy a game of golf, there is 9 hole golf course at Sauveterre, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards and it is suitable for players of all standards. Slightly further away is the highly acclaimed 18 hole course at a beautiful town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Golf and Country Club. At Valance D’Agen there is a further 9 hole course Le Golf d'Espalais.

Travel
Flying to any of the following airports makes easy and stress less time at Cruzel. Bergerac and Toulouse 85km. It is essential that you also hire a car as access to anywhere is always 10km +. Car hire is possible though any of the large hire agencies. If you are a member of walking party/group and don’t want to hire a car we will collect/take you to an airport for a small fee. Driving: Touffailles can be reached in a day from the channel ports. From Calais- 9 hours driving time.
Distances
Markets - The Tarn et Garonne is justifiably proud of its farmers markets which can be found every day of the week. Monquc-15min, Caussade, St Nicholas de la Grave or Moissac 25min, Valence d’agen or Montauban 30 min.
Vineyards - There are many different vineyards to visit: Domaine du Garinet at le Boulvé, Cave De Donzac, Cellier Du Brulhois in Layrac. Entertainment - The villages around are enlivened by concerts, plays, fetes and much more. Toulouse, with its historic centre only 40 min away.

Touffailles has a boulangerie/grocery store and post office 150m from the gites. The local restaurants offer traditional quality cuisine at affordable prices; eg at Miramont you can enjoy 4/ 5 course lunch, wine included, for only E12.50!
Supermarket in Lauzerte- 9km from the gite. Horse riding - 9km away, an excellent equestrian centre, Domaine Equestre de Lauzerte. Le Cheval Blanc equestrian centre 15km from Cruzel and has 25 years experience in the trade. Water sports at Walibi Theme park at Agen where you will find an excellent leisure pool with slides and diving platforms.There is also a good water sports centre at St. Nicholas de la grave, with canoes, boats and pedalos for hire or why not stroll along the banks of the Tarn Garonne Rivers and enjoy the diversity of bird and wildlife? Although inland there are sandy beaches and water slides at the nearby park de loisirs at Montcuq which also has a superb Sunday Market. Le Plan d’Eau des Chenes at Montaigu de Quercy, 10km away, has a leisure lake offering tennis, a children’s play area, boats, pedalos, basketball court. The lake is ideal for water lovers both young and old. There is a safe area for young ones to play in the water and plenty of opportunity for more adventurous swimmers with floating platforms and diving boards. There also are shaded picnic tables and a bar and restaurant with lovely terrace overlooking the beach. National parachute school - For the more adventurous type there is a parachute school at Bouloc, 2km way from Cruzel. The parachute school can arrange Tandem Jumps. This is an undiscovered part of France with so much to see and do. White stone traditional farmhouses, mills and chapels, green valleys and forests, splashes of red, ochre and gold in the fields of crops and orchards of fruits, the finishing touches of yellow sunflowers and amazingly blue sky. The narrow street of the local villages, old stone buildings, churches.

We arrived to be welcomed by apperetives by Steve & Edite. They have been wonderful host making us feel most welcome. We have stayed in many gites over the years, but have never met such passionate good willed and genuine concerned from the owners. The accommodation has been excellent and the pool wonderful. The canal ride in Moisac is also very pleasant in the Toulouse direction. Moissac itself and its Abbey is also worth a visit. We enjoyed the night market, gourmet food, more fun the gourmet. Lauzerte also worth a visit good supermarket & cheap petrol. Thanks to our host once again.

What a wonderful find, very comfortable accommodation... The lovely pool and BBQ were very much appreciated in the exceptional weather. Places to go, Cahors and the tiny train followed by tea water edge drink at St Cirq Lapopie, Lazerte, Moissac, Chateau de Banaquil and so many more.. We loved our time here.
