Located at the entrance to the popular resort of Les 2 Alpes, Les Chalets d'Or is a relatively new luxury development adjacent to a green run providing you with ski in and out most of the Winter season. The resort has a superb snow record and with over 200km of piste on around 70 runs it is suitable for all ages and all levels of expertise. The apartment is ideally located for both easy access to the slopes and to supermarkets, patisseries, equipment hire shops, a tourist information office, restaurants and bars. The resort is open, attractive and buzzes with life. The apartment itself is both modern and comfortable. It's 30msq and accommodates 4 people comfortably but can sleep 6 if required. It consists of 2 comfortable bedrooms, shower room and separate WC and an open plan kitchen and lounge area with double sofa bed, TV/DVD and stereo. Double doors lead onto a decked patio and garden which provides a lovely space for children to play and sunny morning alfresco breakfasts.

Changeover day is normally Saturday, however there is occasionally some flexibility dependent on other bookings. Please contact me with your requirements.

The apartment is managed locally by an English and French speaking agent who meets and greets, handles the security deposit of 300 euros and cleaning charge of 45 euros on arrival. Linen and towel hire is also available at 15 euros per set. |

Accessibility
Although it has not been specifically adapted for wheelchair users, the apartment is located on the ground floor providing good access through the entrance of the building.
Outside
The apartment has it's own south-facing private patio and garden with views of the pistes. A lovely space for breakfast on a sunny morning.

9-hole golf course available in the Summer months.
Skiing
At 3600m, Les 2 Alpes prides itself on its snow sure slopes, Europe's largest ski-able glacier area, varied pistes and an efficient modern lift system. The whole ski area is 200km of piste on around 70 runs suitable for all ages and all levels of expertise. It also boasts well-maintained snowboard and ski parks and incredible off-piste runs, including it's proximity to La Grave, one of the most dramatic off-piste areas in Europe. The apartment is adjacent to a green run which leads to chairlifts on the main resort lift system - the main Jandri Express lift to the glacier is just one chairlift plus a simple traverse away. Or if you prefer just 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
Travel
Nearest airports are Grenoble and Lyon airport which takes 1.5hrs and 2hrs respectively by car. Transfers and car hire from both airports are easily available. It is also possible to fly into Chambery Airport (2hrs), Geneva Airport (3hrs) and Turin (4hrs), however research transfer options as they are not as frequent as those from Lyon and Grenoble.
Distances
Les 2 Alpes has good access to other resorts - Alpe d'Huez is only 32km and is in included in your weekly ski pass, Valloire 62km and Serre Chevalier 67km.
For those who don't want to ski every day the pretty village of Venosc is well worth a visit and is easily accessible by cable car. There are also local markets at Mont de Lans (2 kms) and Bourg D'Oisans (20kms).
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure your booking and balance is due 10 weeks before arrival. If your booking is within 10 weeks then payment is required in full.
