La Joubertie is a haven of peace and tranquillity surrounded by 9 acres of private garden, park and woodland. The original Perigordian barn has been tastefully converted into 2 gites (one 2 bedroom & one 1 bedroom) and 1 chambre d’hote (B&B), carefully combining the original features with modern conveniences. We provide a high standard of accommodation at affordable prices. We enjoy a peaceful countryside environment with the market town of Vergt conveniently near. What could be better? This is a comfortable base to relax and recharge your batteries away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas - yet within easy reach of all major attractions.

Notes on prices
Gite prices are per week/B&B per night in UK Pounds.
La Joubertie Gite - £50 discount per week between Jan-June and September-December 2008 if only one bedroom required.
Flexi-Gite can be hire by the night (minimum 3 nights) on a pro rata basis i.e.£50 per night. (Except July/August - minimum stay 1 Week).
B&B Minimum 2 night stay. Room only available, deduct £5 per night.

Flexi-Gite (Self-Catering) 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2

The Flexi-Gite consists of a large open plan lounge, dining room and fully equipped kitchen along with a double bedroom with an en suite shower room and WC. All of the rooms are newly decorated to a high standard and any renovation is in keeping with the character of the property. The lounge is equipped with comfortable armchairs, a footstool, sofa and a coffee table plus a colour TV and DVD player, which also plays CDs. We do provide a limited selection of DVDs so don’t forget to bring your favourites! There is also a library of mostly English books and a few magazines. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, full oven and hob with all the equipment one would need to cook a delicious meal or to prepare your lunchtime snacks. The dining area has a full sized dining table and chairs that could easily seat 8 when fully extended. The dining area leads out to the front of the gite, where there is a BBQ and table for those al fresco meals. |

Notes on accommodation
Electric heaters in all rooms.
All bed linen and towels, including pool towels, are provided and included in the price. For our guests staying more than a week, your bed linen and towels will be changed at the beginning of each week.
A cot and baby bed linen is available on request, free of charge.
A washing machine and ironing facilities are available free of charge.
Each bedroom has a clothes drier and pegs.
A fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke alarm are installed in the gites for added safety.
Outside
The 8 x 4 metre swimming pool is equipped with a safety fence conforming to French safety law, which provides peace of mind and privacy. Although the pool is not heated, the warm Dordogne sun warms the pool to a luscious 28–30 degrees!
Sun loungers, cushions, garden tables and chairs plus parasols are provided on the poolside.
The gites and B&B rooms all have their own patio tables, chairs and parasols.
BBQs are available for each gite.
Boules, badminton and tennis rackets are available at no extra charge.

And don’t forget the wonderful French market experience! Lots of the local towns have markets on different days each week with opportunities to taste the local produce and wine.

The towns of Perigueux (the capital of Perigord), Sarlat and Domme are easily reached from here - beautifully steeped in history with loads of restaurants, shops and markets to browse around.
Les Eyzies, Rouffignac and Montignac (world famous caves of Lascaux) offer a fantastic opportunity to explore pre-history through caves, prehistoric sites and museums.
Chateaux and beautiful gardens abound – you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Full balance and breakages deposit of £150 to be paid 6 weeks before your stay with us.
