The house has been tastefully decorated and furnished. The ground floor is open plan, with seating around the log fire, the lounge area has a sofa and armchair, English TV and DVD. The dining table sits 6 people. The kitchen area has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. The sideboard has a good selection of china, cutlery etc. A washing machine is available. The house has full central heating, double glazing and an open log fireplace. There is wifi connection and a computer if required.

Notes on accommodation
The house had a new eco heating system installed in 2009, which will be on 24/7 through out the Winter months.
Outside
The terrace leads directly from the lounge, which has a table and 6 chairs and a BBQ. Secured parking in the main garden, which you are welcomed to use.
Coast/Beach
The memorable D-Day Landing beaches of Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc, American Cemetery at Colleville and Germany Cemetery at La Cambe and many WW11 museums are all in the immediate vicinity. The Maisy Battery is an easy 5 minute walk.
Golf
The nearest golf course is the stunning Omaha Beach Golf Club at Port en Bessin. 20 minutes drive from the house.
Travel
Dinard airport is located 2 miles east of St Malo. Flights into Dinard are operated by Ryanair from London Stansted and East Midlands – drive time to Grandcamp Maisy is 2 hours. Cars can be hired from the airports. Brittany Ferries operate from Portsmouth into Caen/Cherbourg LD Lines operate from Portsmouth into Le Havre.
Distances
A 5 minutes drive to the main N13 giving easy access to all areas of Normandy. The nearest town is Isigny sur mer which has two large supermarkets. Historic Bayeux is full of medieval buildings, cathedral and of course, the Tapestry, is a 20 minute drive.
Further details
Grandcamp Maisy is a small fishing town. There is a supermarket 2 minutes drive from the house.
