The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and a landing area with sofa bed, which can sleep an additional 2 people. The cottage has a large dining/living area with TV and DVD player, a newly fitted kitchen and a large bathroom with shower. The main house offers bed & breakfast accommodation for up to 9 people. All the rooms are en-suite. Both properties have full use of the extensive garden plunge pool and BBQ area. Because of its elevated position Le Pelateau has breathtaking views across the valley, these views can be enjoyed from both the garden and many of the rooms. Only 10 mins off A20, very easy to find.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week/night in euros. Discounts are available for more than 3 nights in the B&B. Winter Special - From October 2011 - March 2012 we are offering 3 nights for the price of 2 in the B&B. Evening meals/BBQs are available on request; please contact the owner for further details. We are happy to discuss short/long term lets for The Cottage.
Changeover day
The cottage is from Saturday to Saturday with arrivals from 1600 onwards and departure no later than 1030.
For B&B guests the room is available from 1600 and vacated no later than 10.30 on your day of departure. All times are negotiable with notice.
Notes on accommodation
The main house is centrally heated and has a beautiful wood burner for those chillier evenings. The Cottage has wall heaters and a large wood-burner in the living/dining area. In both Le Pelateau Cottage and B&B we welcome children of all ages. We have both cots and high chairs available upon request.
Accessibility
Both properties are not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
Outside
Le Pelateau has an extensive garden with ample seating areas where you can sit and enjoy the lovely views across the valley. A BBQ is available with seating area for all our guests to use if we are not using it for our special BBQ evenings which are held once a week in summer. New for 2009 is our private 5.5m x 3.5m x 1.2m free-standing plunge pool, great for cooling down after enjoying the sun. There is ample car parking for both properties.
Coast/Beach
There are 2 lakes at Meuzac which is only 5 minutes from Le Pelateau. On the larger lake, water skiing is available for all from April to September. The other smaller lake is used for swimming and has a beach area and bar.
Golf
Golf is available at Limoges 37km.
Travel
Limoges airport is 45 minutes drive from Le Pelateau. The use of a car is highly recommended.

Lubersac 8km. Pompadour 14km. Limoges 37km. Brive la Galliarde 41km. Oradour sur Glane 55km. Tulle 40km.
Segur le Chateau 14km. Lac Vassiviere 58km.
Further details
Local amenities can be found 5km away in the village of Meuzac; 8km away Lubersac offers full amenities including 2 supermarkets. Montgibaud boasts a very good restaurant but tables must be booked in advance which we will happily do for you. Other recommended restaurants are at Meuzac 5km and Objat 29km.
Booking notes
A deposit of 10% is required to secure your booking. Guests in The Cottage are asked to pay the outstanding 90% 4 weeks prior to arrival; B&B guests must pay the outstanding balance prior to departure. We will email or post our booking form which has full details.

About the owner
Mark is from Birmingham and Atty is from Oswestry, Shropshire. We met whilst we were both serving in the Armed Forces. We have lived in Montgibaud since 2007 with our daughter who is currently training to be a chef. We fell in love with the house and surrounding countryside instantly, in fact before we even entered the house! We are both keen gardeners and grow all our own vegtables which we use for our evening meals.

We bought Le Pelateau because it is a beautiful house with fantastic views and garden. We have been made very welcome in Montgibaud and could not imagine living anywhere else.
Unique benefits of the property
Le Pelateau is situated in the very small village of Montgibaud. It is ideally situated for long walks or cycle rides; routes are available on the village square.
We believe one of Le Pelateau's greatest advantages is the peace and tranquility, a real gem of a place to unwind.
The village has a fantastic restaurant with a very good reputation, so much so that you have to book in advance but we have a good relationship with the owners and are happy to book on your behalf.
