La Ferme is a rural farmhouse constructed in 1970's and is ideal for an extended family holiday or a group of friends. All bedrooms are large and airy. 3 shower rooms (1 en-suite) and bathroom. Games room with table tennis. Secluded sun terrace and large garden mainly to grass. Three bedrooms located on the ground floor making it ideal for those with limited mobility. Large fitted kitchen, and utility room with washing machine. La Fermette is newly refurbished original 1830 house and retains a wealth of beams and interesting features. Large master bedroom with dressing area and en-suite bathroom. Twin bedroom has en-suite shower room and single bedroom off. Lounge, additional sitting room and dining room. Downstairs cloakroom and a modern fully fitted kitchen ensure everything is provided for your holiday. Sun terrace and garden.

Large lounge with settee and armchairs and dining room table to seat 10, log burning stove, TV, DVD and stereo.Newly equipped and decorated for 2012. Fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen table and chairs, all cooking equipment necessary for a large group. Separate utility room with washing machine. Cot and high chair available.

Ground floor predominantly open with hall/dining room, lounge with TV, DVD, stereo, separate sitting room with sofa bed, cloakroom and coat area. Fully fitted kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave and all equipment necessary including lots of china, glass and cutlery. Automatic washing machine in boiler room. Sun terrace and private garden.

 

Notes on accommodation
La Ferme has central heating to ground floor only and fan heaters for upstairs. La Fermette is fully centrally heated. Both houses are ideal for family use and both of the large gardens are secure and gated.

Accessibility
La Ferme is possible for wheelchair users having both bedrooms and bathroom on ground floor but has not been specially adapted in any way.

Outside
Both houses have large separate gardens, gated and bounded by hedges for privacy and sun terraces, BBQs provided and paddling pools. Garden furniture, umbrellas and tables for eating outside provided. La Ferme has a garden swing seat.

Coast/Beach
Miles of excellent sandy beaches within 35 minutes drive with free and easy parking. Le Touquet for beach, market and shops 30 minutes drive.

Travel
Rimboval is just over 1 hour by car from the shuttle terminal at Calais and 1 hour 15 minutes from the port.

Distances
10 minutes drive to nearest town with useful shops. 20 minutes to walled town of Montreuil and its Son et Lumiere in Summer. Within easy driving distance for a day out to Amiens, Arras, Bruges, WW 1 and 2 battle fields including Ypres. Denlys Park only 15 minutes. Bagatelle 25 minutes. La Coupole and Arques Crystal factory 30 minutes. Abbey de Valloires 30 minutes, Azincourt 25 minutes. 7 valleys is an area that has outstanding natural beauty and is a bird watchers delight.

Further details
Carrefour supermarket, excellent boulangerie and banks in nearest town 10 minutes. Hypermarket within 15 minutes drive. Mobile shops call in village several times weekly. Large range of restaurants within 15-20 minutes drive. Good walking in the area and maps left at house. Chocolate factory tours in Beussent 15 minutes. Interesting picturesque watermill at Maintenay serving good lunches and snacks and selling home made bread.

from Adie...My friends and I really look forward to our annual get-together The house is spacious,, a well-equipped kitchen and six comfortable bedrooms. Lots of “extras” have been provided such as games, maps and books, making it very homely. There’s a woodburning stove for cold days and a patio with table and chairs for summer meals outdoors, so it’s always been for us a wonderful setting for a relaxing time away.

About the owner
My husband and I are semi retired professionals. We bought Rainbow Farm about 7 years ago purchasing it when it came up for sale after our family had rented it for two years for our holidays. We use it very much as home and have tried to make it as comfortable and well equipped as our UK home. We frequently take groups of friends from our church for short breaks and our annual family holiday get together takes place every Summer. We enjoy the house in both Summer and Winter. It's good to curl up, after a good French style meal, with a book in front of the log fire and our grand children love it when it snows. The garden is a delight in Summer and we eat on the terrace whenever possible. La Fermette is my husband's dream of a home and he would like to relocate it to the UK.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We rented the house for two consecutive years and when it came on the market decided that we would buy it to continue to enjoy it. We live in Kent so its a quick and easy journey for us to get to the farmhouse. We enjoy quiet countryside and like rural French life without the hassle of a long car journey. Our kids all enjoy being able to get there cheaply and quickly and with a car full of young children there's no stress on the short journey. We are still finding things to do in the area and are never bored.

Unique benefits of the property
With a growing family of grand children we enjoy the space of the house and garden. We like to take groups of friends for weekends and for us the journey is so quick and easy. I do not want to spend many hours in a car driving through France to get further south to a crowded beach when the beaches on the coast nearby are fabulous.
