You can spend lazy days by the pool or access the facilities in our local village or go sightseeing in the local area. This will be a holiday to remember.easy to acess local sights and attractions,like local markets,roman ruins ,fun for the kids like a water park,wildboar farm etc,etc.you can visit Agen or Auch or bordeaux or toulouse all easily reached by car.Make 'La Tuillerie' your perfect base to explore all the region has to offer.Visit the local vineyard 5 mins down the road and sample the local apperitief called 'Floc'.

Notes on accommodation
The property is very homely and is very comfortable.Alot of care and attention has been put into details.The house is very spacious and fully equipped for your holiday..The property is sutible for children,the pool is fully alarmed and is in full view from the spacious kitchen which has french doors opening out onto a terrace.There is also an arched terrace which can provide shelter from the mid-day sun,or alternativly for barbicues on barmy summer evenings.Because the house is made from old stone it stays nice and cool in the summer,plus we provide large fans throughout the property.We have central heating if you decide to let the house in winter months.all towels and linen are provided at no extra cost.There is a childs' playroom full of toys.There is a huge house bathroom with large bath,and seperate shower aswell as 2 ensuites,one with a bath and one with a shower.There are 2 lounges for relaxing,1 with flatscreen TV the other with books and music.
Outside
Set in 2 hectares of private land, with lawned gardens, palm trees,beautiful 12x6m pool with Roman steps at the rear of the property, It is fully tilled around it and sun loungers are provided. There are walnut trees and various fruit trees around the land. A river runs to the border of our land, which has trout in it. There is an arched terrace, perfect to escape from the sun,ideal for barbiques with dining table and chairs,aswell as a seating and cofee table provided and of course a barbique.The property is totally secluded with no visable neighbours nearby.we are surrounded by beautiful countryside,yet are only 1.5 k from a bar/shop and restaurant.There are lovely walks by our river.There is lots of space for children to run and play and kick a ball.There are various toys left by ourselfs including a plastic wendy house.
there are lovely walks or bike rides from the property,including a 11th century church less than 10min walk away.You will NOT get bored at 'La Tuillerie'
Coast/Beach
The Atlantic Coast is accessible, less than 2 hours drive away.There is Mimizan, Arcachon lots of great beach destinations not too far away,all details are provided in your handbook.There is the famous white sand dunes which you can visit.there is also San Sebastian in Spain which is two and a half hours away which is an amazing beach resort.
Not only is there the coast there are numerous swimming lakes nearby with sandy beaches and beautiful blue water.
Golf
There is a good golf course less than 10 minute drive away. It is 18 holes and is in a stunning setting, there is also a top class restaurant there too.
Travel
You can get here by plane,train or ferry. Budget airlines fly from Toulouse (BMI baby, Easyjet), Bergerac (Jet2, Ryanair) and Pau (Ryanair). All these airlines are within one and a half hour by car, and car rental is available at all the airports. The ferry is from Bilboa and is approx 5hrs drive. The auto route at Agen is approx 1hr. Nearest Travel Links - airport - Pau 90km, railway - Agen 50km, ferry - Biboa 250km.

There is a bar/restaurant and shop 1.5k away.our village is less than 4 away.there are 2 small supermarkets, bakers, chemist, doctors, r2 bars, 2 restaurants plus there is a lake,park,tennis courts in the village. There is a larger town 10 mins drive with large supermarkets etc.

Set in the heart of Gascony, the region is varied and beautiful, with many small river valleys and undulating plains offering stunning views. There are fields of sunflowers and vines wherever you go. Because the agriculture is rich the local villages are thriving with fine restaurants, lively cafes, bakeries, and shops. We are located right on the border of the Gers, Lot-et -Garonne border in fact the border is our river! So in 2mins you can access all that the Aquitaine region has to offer. The border of Landes is 5mins up the road, and so the beautiful forests of this region. South West France is renown for its cuisine....duck, foie gras, cassoulet, garlic and of course its vineyards. For this reason some of France's finest restaurants are found here. The vineyards of Duras an Buzet are nearby and we are in the heart of the Armagnac region. The Pyrenees are within easy reach and offer ski-ing, mountain trails rafting etc. The Atlantic coast is accessible with its sandy beaches and sand dunes. Agen and Auch are within a hour away if you miss city life! Condom and Nerac, 2 beautiful historic towns are less than half an hour away.

About the owner
Neil, myself and Louis, our 3 yr old son live here in Castelnau-d'Auzan,with our 4 dogs, 1 cat, 6 chickens, 3 rabbits,hamster and a goldfish! 'La Tuillerie' is a real family home, and so is great for all the family.
There is nothing more you could want or need in 'La Tuillerie'. Lovingly restored over 5 years, the house is a home from home. Fully furnished and fully equipped. Having previously running a gite complex, and running them for 4 yrs, we have learned what clients want when on holiday. The house is a wonderful place to stay and really is 'some place special'.Ideally located in the gers but close to the border of Aquitaine and the Landes it is a great place to holiday, with numerous swimming lakes and lots to do and see in the surrounding area, if you decide to venture out

We bought this property, as it was such an unusual character property, we have never seen anything quite like it. In an ideal location near the river, set amongst the vines in the Armangnac region it is stunning. With all the amenities of the village less than 5 mins away, it is perfectly situated.a shp/bar restaurant less than 1.5 k away.It is the perfect base for acesssing what this wonderful region has to offer.
