Golf
Try the superb par 70, 18 hole golf course at Les Gets/Morzine. This golf course climbs from 1300m to 1600m, but don't worry there are buggies for hire! The views are stunning and the Vaffieu restaurant, is situated perfectly for a mid round lunch stop.
Morzine - Avoriaz also has a 9 hole course and there is a driving range at Avoriaz to practise those swings! Nearby there are 18 hole golf courses at The Royal Club at Evian (overlooking Lake Geneva), Chamonix, Megeve and Flaine.
Skiing
The Portes Du Soleil is the world's largest ski area with 650km of linked pistes spread over 12 resorts, 7 in France and 5 in Switzerland.
The huge variety of terrain from the gentle tree lined slopes of Les Gets and Morzine to the steep, challenging world cup downhill course at Avoriaz or the infamous Swiss WALL in Le Croset, means that there is a great selection of all grades of pistes and is ideally suited to mixed ability groups and families.
Our Chalets are situated a short walk from the nearest 6 man high speed chairlift, Les Perriers at the entrance to Les Gets. It is a 10 minute walk into town centre and the chalets are also on the free ski bus route.

Les Gets and the whole Portes Du Soleil is THE place to bike in the Alps. The area offers over 380 kilometres of marked itineraries from easy winding tracks along the river or through the forest to steep and very technically demanding single tracks. Over 20 of the main ski lifts are specially adapted to carry you and your mountain bike and open from the end of June until beginning of September linking the Portes Du Soleil resorts of Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel, Champery and Morgins.
For downhillers there are 9 permanent downhill courses all accessible from Les Gets.
This year the Tour De France is stopping over in Morzine from the 20th-21st of July.
Travel
Les Gets is easily accessible being only 1 hour 15 min drive from Geneva airport.
For those who are self-driving it takes only 8 hours from Calais and is motorway all of the way except for the last 20 minutes. We have designated parking places at the chalets.
Distances
Les Gets is also a great base for exploring the region, Geneva, Chamonix, Evian and Annecy are all within an hour and a halfs drive away.
Further details
Les Gets is very typically Alpine, lots of wooden chalets and hotels decked out with hanging baskets of flowers and eating and drinking is enjoyed outdoors while lapping up the summer sun
There is a good selection of sports and gifts shops, creperies, patisseries and restaurants as well as the local weekly market.
The town also has a man made swimming lake with floating raft, jetty and slide (there are life gaurds during July & August) and it is surprisingly warm at an average temperature of 22 degrees in July and August. Next to the lake there is a ropes course through the trees with tarzan nets, death slides and such like suitable for adults and kids alike.
For those after a bit of an adrenaline rush try the devil karts (go karting down the Chavannes pistes) or mountain boarding, similar to snowboarding but on the grass.
An excellent way to see the village is from the air so why not take a tandem parapente and fly off the top of Mont Chery strapped to an instructor of course and enjoy the views of Mont Blanc massif and the village and surrounding mountains.
