Our lovely chalet is in the heart of the old village in Courchevel 1650. It has been refurbished internally this summer. At ground floor level there is a spacious sitting room/dining room and kitchen with stunning views. The first floor has 2 newly decorated double bedrooms and a newly decorated bunk bedroom and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) which are brand new this year. At lower ground floor level there is one newly decorated double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and one bunk room and a kids TV room/bedroom and a separate shower room with wc. All the linen is from either Heals or the White Company. All furniture and fittings are new and of a very high quality. There is a flat screen TV/satellite/DVD in the TV area of the sitting room. There is a flat screen TV/satellite/DVD in the one of the double bedrooms and a large plasma on the childrens floor. There is a hot tub and fireplace - new for 2012. The chalet is minutes from the ski lifts, shops and restaurants but very quiet.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property with 3 hours cleaner - 6 days per week.
The price is quoted in Euros - to be paid direct into a french bank account - 30% to confirm the booking, the balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday starts. We also require a deposit of 1500.
We are flexible on change over days - especially over Christmas and New Year - so please ask.
Changeover day
Changeover day may be flexible - but generally Saturday - we can certainly be flexible over Christmas and new year.

| Living Rooms: | A lovely open plan room plus balcony with stunning, sun-drenched views down the valley. There is a dining area with an opening to the well-equipped kitchen. There are 2 very comfortable, stylish sofas and 1 armchair, together with a flat screen TV. |
| Other: | The master double bedroom and en-suite bathroom have been totally renovated this year. The whole chalet has been internally & externally redecorated this year - with new bathrooms throughout. We have a hot tub - new for 2011/12. |

We will provide all bedlinen and towels. Three hours of cleaning per day. If you would like us to organise a chef for the evening that is possible at an extra charge. |

Notes on accommodation
The property has been internally renovated this year - all the furniture is new. The style is fresh and contemporary and the chalet has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is ideally suited to two families holidaying together and is child-friendly, but works equally well for mixed groups. It is warm and bright and situated in its own grounds - kids can toboggan immediately outside the chalet at a safe distance from roads.
Accessibility
The chalet is reached via a short walk down a path, either from the main road (which is situated above it) or the old village of Courchevel 1650. Although the ski lifts, shops, restaurants etc are only a couple of minutes away it's remarkably quiet and feels very private. It's probably not ideal for guests with mobility problems.
Outside
We have balconies on the two of the floors and a large sunny terrace at the front of the property with tables and chairs. There is also a large communal area in front of the chalet that children can play on. Two minutes away is the Hotel Manalli which is a new 5-star hotel with spa. Courchevel 1650 is especially popular because it's on the lighter side of the valley and gets lots of afternoon sunshine.

Skiing
Amazing skiing! Skis and boots are kept in a locker right next to the lift, so you walk from the chalet to the boot room which will take 3 minutes, in your snow boots not your ski boots. All the slopes of the Trois Vallees - the largest skiing area in the Alps, including Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires - are fully accessible from Courchevel 1650.
Travel
Chambery 1 1/2 hours. Lyon 2 hours. Geneva 2 hours or by train to Moutier then 30 minute taxi ride. We can organise all transport to and from the airport/station.

All the shops and restaurants are 3 minutes walk from the chalet.

We would be interested in a house swap - we also have two 5 bedroom houses in Walberswick, in Suffolk on the east coast of England in a seaside village, and a 5 bedroom town house in the heart of Notting Hill.

About the owner
We are a family with 4 children. We are all mad about skiing and have tried many resorts but kept on coming back to Courchevel.
We choose Courchevel 1650 for the village atmosphere, the fabulous restaurants and the sunny afternoons and evenings (which you don't get in 1850).
The shops, restaurants, spas and lifts are a 3 minute walk from the chalet - perfect!
