Chalet Hastings is in a wonderful position, half way along the Chavanne Rd. In the Winter you can usually ski back and the navette but stops outside, it is a 7 minute walk to the lifts/piste. In the Summer, the golf course, is a 5 minute drive up the road. There are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the valley from Hastings. The main building was constructed in the 1960s and converted to 4 spacious apartments at the beginning of this century. The names of the accommodation follow the Hastings theme, all are spacious, interesting and different; large groups can be accommodated. With family on site we can provide a range of optional services including: full catered service, chef service, ski pass collection, lifts, boot/ski fitting, etc.

Golf
The Les Gets golf course has wonderful views of Mont Blanc, this is a 15 minute walk up the road, 5 minute drive.
Skiing
Les Gets was rated by the Independent newspaper as being the best family ski resort in the world, with easy access to the Portes du Soleil area, with 640km lifts, we feel it offers something for everyone. The local Les gets ski area has 110 km of slopes, 53 lifts, 2 cable cars, 3 gondolas, 22 chairlifts, 25 drag lifts. The ski area of Les Gets can be divided into 4 parts : Mont-Chιry, Chavannes, Nyon, Le Pleney. 65 slopes covering all levels. From the Chavannes side you are directly on the Portes du Soleil ski area with 650km slopes - one ski pass covers 209 ski lifts.
Travel
Geneva airport is one hour drive away. Calais is around 8 hours drive.

About the owner
Over the past 10 years, we have had some fantastic holidays in Les Gets, we bought our first apartment in 2004 and took over running Hastings in the Summer of 2008. We are in our early 50's and have bought up a family of three in the Thames Valley. Our younger son, Ben (who had just left the Royal Marines) joined us with his exceptionally capable girlfriend: Morven for the last ski season. Next Season (2010 to 2011) Ben will be training as a ski instructor, helping at weekends (he always enjoys showing people around the ski area on Sundays - do ask) and Morven will be helping with operations.
