Amazing location in one of Brittanys finest villages. If you are looking for a quiet escape or a sightseeing trip to historic Dinan you need look no further. Lehon village is located on the picturesque river Rance and boasts the fine ancient Abbey St Magloire, a 12th century castle / chateaux, lovely all year heated open air public swimming pool, and a large range of larger shops are within 5 minutes drive from the village. From the village, you can walk into Dinan along the towpath of the river Rance which takes around 10-15 minutes, into the port of Dinan, then up the famous Rue Du Petit Fort into Dinan. Lehon is a 20 min drive from the international airport at Dinard, which is an hours' flight from Stansted. The beautiful coastal city of St Malo (ferry terminal) is also only a half hours' drive away, steeped in history, with its' long sandy beaches, rock pools and swimming areas. There is a Tabac and Boulongerie in the village and a wonderful small French restaurant Le Marmite.

Notes on prices
We are happy to do a late booking price on weeks that are available.Please take 25% of the advertised price. We will also discount 10% if you would like to book both apartments together.
Changeover day
There is no fixed changeover day, but this is obviously subject to demand. The property will be ready for occupation by 4pm on arrival day, and needs to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

La Tourelle Studio Apartment (Sleeps 2)

Les Tourelle has recently been refurbished. This studio accommodation is a great base for exploring Lehon. Access is via French doors to the front elevation. Living area consists of double bed, wardrobe. The kitchen is well equipped and has a small dining table, microwave and oven. The bathroom consist of a wc, bath and over head shower and heated towel rail. These two properties can be rented together to provide accommodation for six. There is a small parking area directly opposite the property. Les Tourelle is great accommodation for two people looking for a base to explore this part of Brittany. The Studio is small but well equipped. There is a small TV and a sky box with a few English channels. No sky card. |

The property boasts full central heating throughout. Baby package available on request. Linen and towel rental on request at £15 pp.

Not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is no garden. The apartment is close by to river and walks as well as next door to the castle which has grounds to sit and relax in. There is also an open air heated swimming pool 2 min walk away with grassed areas. There is a carpark right next to the cottage and apartment and additional parking in the carpark at the pool.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at St. Malo and Dinard, which is a half hour drive. Many other beautiful beaches are a similar distance away, including St. Cast, Dinard and a little further the Pink Granite coast. Fabulous coastal walks and wonderful scenery all within a half hour drive. Dinard has two salt water pools on the beach which has the added benefit of life guards for your safety as well as the beaches. Lots of nice shops and eateries at Dinard and st Malo.
Golf
There are several golf courses within half hour drive of the cottage, including Dinard, St. Malo, St. Cast.

Special interest holidays
This area is a painters' paradise and is noted for its numerous art galleries. 45 minute drive to Mont Saint Micheal. Lots of water sports at the near by beaches. There is also boat hire on the Rance itself. This is all located for hire at the port of Dinan. From here you can also hire bikes and book boat trips. You can bike for miles along the tow path in both directions.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dinard, which is approx 25 miles away, with flights from Stansted. There is a ferry terminal at St. Malo, which is approx. 20 miles away, with ferries from Portsmouth and Poole. The channel tunnel and Dover ferries at Calais are approx 325 miles away. On a good run this will take 5 hour from Calais to Lehon. August is busiest so would suggest a Sunday travel Day as toll roads are less busy as well as the roads.

Further details
All major shops and banks in either Dinan , are within a 5 minute drive. Dinan has two large markets each week, on a Thursday and Sunday, offering local produce and souvenirs etc. There is a wide variety of restaurants offering everything from Pizza to fine French cuisine. Dinan port is great for eating and drinking and watching the world go by. There is internet connection at the tourist information 20 mins walk or 5 mins in the car from the cottage.
Booking notes
Reservation deposit of 25% is requested at confirmation of booking, with final payment 6 weeks prior to holiday. We require a £200 key / damage deposit, which is released once house has been checked, usually within 7 working days.
Prefered payment straight into the bank and key deposit can be also paid back this way. Cheques are also fine.

We all thoroughly enjoyed being in Lehon. The accommodation was excellent. So spacious and airy. The walks along the river Rance were great into Dinan port. There is plenty to see and do in the area and we will return. We could not believe it when we arrived at the Tabac. The whole village and atmosphere was terrific. Tina 2010
