The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Noyal Pontivy within walking distance of the shops, supermarket, boucherie, boulangerie, restaurant and creperie, as well as a doctor, pharmacy, bank and florist. It is 5kms to the larger town of Pontivy, and close to the Nantes/Brest canal where there are lovely walks.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. From November to February there will be a 20 euro supplement per week for heating, payable on arrival.
Changeover day
Saturday in the summer season, but flexible at other times. Arrival after 3pm and departure by 10am.

Notes on accommodation
Well behaved pets are welcome. The cottage is totally non smoking.
Outside
The pool and the spa are shared with the owners. The pool is an above ground plunge pool and is solar heated. A table and 4 chairs are on the balcony outside the living room together with 2 sunloungers. A BBQ is also available.
Coast/Beach
Approx 35 minute drive to the nearest beach.
Golf
15 minutes drive from a challenging 9 hole course.
Travel
Rennes 1 hour, Dinard/Roscoff/Nantes 2 hours, St Malo 1hr 40, Cannes/Cherbourg 4 hours.
Distances
5kms from Pontivy.

Owner profile
About the owner
We moved to France in 2005 as our son, his wife and two children had moved here the year before. We had intended to 'downsize' with a smaller garden and we ended up with two houses and a larger garden! Hence the availability of Alpenhaus cottage for holiday rental.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the houses as they were in the same village as our son and also for the wonderful views that we have over the fields towards Pontivy. We are very central for visiting both the North and South coasts of Brittany and we are close to the Nantes/Canal where one can have wonderful walks or cycle rides.
