Prices are for the properties per week in UK pounds. Discounts for out of season long lets.
Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day, departure by 10.00am, arrivals from 3pm.(There may be some flexibility with changeover days in low season). However in high season guests must vacate the properties by 10.00am to allow us time to prepare them for new arrivals.
Notes on accommodation
All cottages have both log burning stoves and electric heaters, all ground floor rooms are tiled for coolness and ease of cleaning. There are lots of books, games and DVDs at the properties.
Accessibility
Charriers' is suitable for disabled persons with mobility problems, low profile shower, adapted bathroom, one level for lounge and en-suite double bedroom. 2 steps to kitchen and terrace with hand rails.
Outside
BBQs and private sitting areas or terraces for each house with outdoor furniture. Private above ground 5m pools at both Charriers and the Big house. The Big house has sole use of the games barn. Table tennis, table football, dart board, basketball hoop.
Coast/Beach
The coastal resort of St Gilles Croix de Vie is a 30 minute drive away with excellent safe beaches and outstanding restaurants. Surfers and wind-surfers enjoy Bretignolle sur Mer a further 10 minutes away. Thre is an inland beach located at Apremont about 15 minutes away next to the Chateau.
Golf
Golfe de Fontanelle is about 20 minutes away by car near Coex (on the way to the coast).
Travel
Nantes Airport is 40 minutes drive away. The port of St Malo is 159 miles of easy driving taking about 2.5 hours. Car hire/use is recommended.
Distances
Poire sur Vie the local market town is 3km from La Cotreliere, La Roche sur Yon the administrative capital is a further 12km.
Further details
Poire sur Vie boasts a modern large supermarket, restaurants, a pizzeria, hairdressers, cafes, wine wholesalers, 2 bakeries, a large indoor swimming pool, tennis courts. Outdoor markets twice per week, banks, and gift shops, garages and a 24 hour filling station and last but not least a Catholic shrine. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional French meal with an English speaking French family who have a wealth of knowledge about the area. You provide your own linen and towels. 30% non refundable deposit with booking, the balance 6 weeks before occupancy. £100 refundable bond repaid when the property is inspected and found to be clean and undamaged.
