Built and furnished to the highest standards, it is cosy and luxurious, a real home from home, and less than an hour's drive from Geneva airport. Ideally situated in the Chamonix valley between Chamonix and Les Houches, a ten minute drive from Chamonix town centre and the ski lifts. Whether you want adrenaline packed skiing and mountain biking, or prefer to take a more relaxed pace, Chalet Anchorage is the perfect destination for a Summer or Winter break. Backing onto a dense forest of fir trees and with stunning views of the Aiguille de Midi, Chalet Anchorage really is a 'Winter wonderland' and a 'Summer paradise', perfect for one or two families at any time of year. With lots of open plan, varied living areas and large bedrooms, Chalet Anchorage is also ideal for corporate groups or groups of friends of up to 12 seeking comfortable shared accommodation.

Skiing
Ideally situated in the Chamonix valley between Chamonix and Les Houches, a ten minute drive from Chamonix town centre and the ski lifts, the chalet is also within easy reach of the nearby ski areas of Argentiere and le Tour. Chamonix is a world renowned ski resort with something for everyone. Set around a vibrant alpine town filled with shops and restaurants, the cosmopolitan atmosphere will enchant you. Chamonix has a fantastic range of ski areas, all easily accessible from Chalet Anchorage, with skiing and snowboarding for beginners and intermediates, as well as extreme off- piste skiing for experts. For skiers wanting a challenge, the Vallee Blanche is the longest and most breathtaking ski run in the world. It is the most challenging off-piste run in the Alps that a good intermediate skier can safely tackle. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, gentle runs through the trees will suit the whole family, and kids and teenagers will love the snow park.
Travel
We are less than an hour's drive from Geneva airport which is served by several airlines, including: EasyJet, British Airways, Bmibaby. Alternatively you can take the Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris and connect for St-Gervais-Les-Bains, where you change to the Mont Blanc Express to Chamonix (Rail Europe). Or take Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais and drive.

Ten minute drive to Chamonix. Five minute drive to les Houches. One hour from Geneva and Annecy.

Chamonix is an alpine paradise in the Summer, the perfect place just to relax and unwind, or to take advantage of the huge number of summer activities on offer. There are glaciers and grotto's to explore, and plenty of walks and hikes for everyone, from tiny tots to triathletes. White water rafting, tree adventure parks, horse riding, mountain biking and a Summer luge are just some of the many activities on offer in the valley. More information available on request. Chamonix is well known for its wide range of restaurants, offering traditional fare as well as fine dining. The chic Michelin starred Albert Premier and the Brasserie, contrast with the rustic charms of traditional Savoyard restaurants.

This is our second visit at Chalet Anchorage and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. The outside of the chalet is gorgeous in Spring and simply stunning in Winter. The chalet is so cozy and it felt more homely than our own house! The rooms are set up with meticulous attention to detail and each have their own en-suite.
