Outside
Le Boterff is located in a peaceful setting, of an acre of established gardens of trees and shrubs, with views of the beautiful Breton countryside. There is a gravelled parking area at the front with entry through a gate to a gravelled courtyard with garden tables and chairs, with other garden furniture, BBQ and games available as well as a small boules court.
Coast/Beach
Lac de Guerledan is only 10 mins drive away with 3 safe sandy beaches. All sea coasts are accessible from here in central Brittany. The north coast at Binic is 40 mins drive, the south coast at Guidel plage 1.15 hours and the west coast 2 hours.
Golf
There is a golf course just south of Pontivy about 45 minutes away, as well as others on the north coast about an hour away.

Ferries - St Malo 81 miles, Roscoff 79 miles, Caen 175 miles, Cherbourg 195 miles.
Airports - Brest 82 miles, Rennes 73 miles, Dinard 69 miles, Nantes 122 miles.

There is so much to do in the area with the stunning Lac de Guerledan only 10 minutes drive away and only 15 to the Abbey at Bon Repos. Chateaux, pretty villages and walled towns of historic and cultural interest, such as Pontivy, Josselin, Quintin, St Brieuc and Quimper are all within easy reach, many with a weekly market.
There is a post office, small supermarket (fresh bread daily) and café/bar in St Mayeux. Assorted restaurants all within easy reach. Banks, post office, Proxi or Ecomarche, pharmacy in Corlay or Mur. Wifi in Mur & in the village bar. Fuel in Mur.
Booking notes
A deposit of £150 or 150 euros per week is required on confirmation of booking. The balance of rental payment is required on arrival in euros in cash, we don’t take cards. When registering on arrival, we will require a security deposit of 70 euros or £70 in cash.

We are semi retired and live on site, so are available to help at practically any time. We have lived in St Mayeux for over 6 years. We know the area very well and can advise on places to visit and restaurants to try. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandsons. We have lived and travelled abroad extensively and understand the needs of guests travelling and on holiday. We encourage our guests to relax and enjoy their holiday.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We discovered that Brittany isn't flat. There is so much to do and see and despite living here for more than 6 years and going out on trips regularly, so we can tell guests about the area, we have still barely scratched the surface.
Unique benefits of the property
If a peaceful relaxing holiday is what you want, you wont get much better than staying at Le Boterff. We are on the edge of the village but because we are in the centre of Brittany, everything is accessible in a very short time. You are spoilt for choice on where to go and places to visit. You can visit all the coasts, the north, south or west all from your gite.
