Maison Gély is centrally located in Causses et Veyran a traditional french village in the heart of the St Chinian wine region. The house was formerly a wine makers dwelling and has been lovingly restored with antique furniture, chandeliers and paintings providing a spacious 4 bedroom haven from which to explore the region. Maison Gély spans three floors and comprises 2 Double rooms, 2 twin rooms, 4 Bathrooms, modern kitchen/dining room, comfortable living room, family room and utility room. Most rooms enjoy views over the village. Three of the bathrooms are equipped with hydro shower cabins and the master bathroom is en-suite with a jacuzzi bath as well as shower. The house also has the benefit of air-conditioning, central heating, internet, telephone, television, private swimming pool complete with terrace area, fully equipped outdoor kitchen, sun shower and WC combining the best in both outdoor and indoor living space.

Bathroom shared by rooms 2 & 3: roll-top bath, shower-cabin, WC and basin.
Bathroom 4: shower cabin, wc and basin.
Kitchen: The light and airy kitchen is well equipped with double sink, electric ceramic hob and oven, American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave oven. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen.
Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, tumble dryer and sink.
Living Rooms: The elegant living room has a sofa, chairs, bookcase, fireplace, ipod dock, hifi system. The original wooden beams have been retained in keeping with the style of the house. The dining area has a traditional large wooden table and chairs and french doors.
Other: The family room - located on lower ground floor and is a very large room in what used to be the wine cellar of the house. This room is furnished with a large sofa easy chairs, poufs, as well as a wide screen TV, DVD player, Sky (free to air).

The pool area is reached by steps at the back of the house, and is secured by a locking gate. The swimming pool (7 x 4m) has an electrically operated security cover, as well as steel steps. A terrace wraps around the pool and is furnished with a wooden dining table and chairs, sun umbrellas and sun loungers. The pool kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas cooker and gas BBQ. A WC and sun shower allow you to make the most of outdoor living
Just outside the front door is a patio area which is a fabulous spot to sit and relax.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Valras - Plage and is 30km from Causses et Veyran. There are a variety of restaurants, shops and a fun park in the area. Serignan Plage is very near Valras Plage but is quieter.

Further details
The Bread depot opens 8-10am daily. A Vegetable seller and butcher come to the village on Thursday mornings and a smoked meat, fine cheese specialist on Tuesdays. A pizza van also sets up on Friday evenings. A winery is literally three doors away selling wines from a reputable local vineyard. The is a free tennis court about a 5 minute walk from the house and the village is on the edge of the National Park of the Haut Languedoc. Causses-et-Veyran dates back to pre-historic times. Towers from the Roman period can be found in the middle of a vineyard, remains of an 11th century priory, and the parish church dating from the 10th and 11th century are all well worth a visit. The vineyards around the village are part of the AOC Saint-Chinian wine area. A five minute drive away is the charming village of Cessonon sur Orb with a wider varierty of shops and a weekly farmers' market. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes drive to Murveil les Beziers. Roquebrun is also a short drive with a Mediterranean garden, wonderful views, waterfall, canoeing and river swimming. Reals near Cessenon rents canoes and kayaks and leisurely trips along the river make a fantastic day out taking in all the scenery along the way. Traditional french restaurants can be found in Cessenon sur Orb, Murviel (at Chateau St.Martin) Reals (on the river outside Murviel) and Roquebrun. Spa enthuasists will find the famed spa town of Lamalou-Les-Bains 35km away. Markets: On Friday's markets take place in Roquebrun and Murviel. Bezier also has a well known flower and fresh fruit & vegetable market in the town square on Fridays. Nearby Cessonon sur Orb has a market on a Saturday morning and St Chinian hosts a very good market on Thursday and Sunday mornings. Markets are a great way to sample local produce and also a real social occasion for all the family.

Rent, payable 6 weeks in advance, includes all utilities except where indicated (for electricity 300 units/week are included in the price, remainder charged at cost). Linens, bedding and towels are included in the rental. Refundable damage deposit €500 deposit amount payable in advance. No smoking or pets please.
