We are open all year round for all types of holidays, or just an overnight break. We are ideally located between the famous copper town of Villedieu les Poeles and Gavray, and within easy access of junction 37 of the A84 Caen, Avranches. Owner profile
Meet the family!
About the owner
Following a romantic weekend in Normandy, not only did we get engaged, we fell in love with the area and bought a house. Our renovation of "Flowerpots" has been a labour of love involving family and our dear French friends who have now become an invaluable part of our life here.
We have learnt a few valuable lessons on the way, 1. always accept an invitation - you may not be asked twice, 2. take your dog everywhere, as you never know where you may end up or what time you will get back! 3. always have aperitifs in, as you never know who is going to turn up!
Our aim at "Flowerpots" is to provide our guests with a warm and friendly welcome combined with a genuine hospitality.
We are excited to be able now to share our restored venture "Flowerpots" with our guests.
Year purchased: 2000
Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
We chose Normandy because we wanted a property that was within easy reach of the ferry ports, but far enough into France that you felt that exciting tingle that told you, "you were on holiday". Our aim was to find an affordable property to renovate as a project, that we could undertake piece by piece, and that would also provide us with a bit of a holiday. We found the perfect package here in Le Mesnil Garnier. As we loved "Flowerpots" so much, after six years of weekend retreats and a holiday home Flowerpots became home permanently!
We have a property that is ideally located to provide our guests with easy access to all the famous Normandy tourist attractions. Nestled into the Normandy countryside, we provide our guests with a rural getaway and a chance to sample our home grown produce.
Unique benefits of the property
We aim to provide our guests with the highest standard of accommodation, care and attention to detail.
Our wish is to make every guests stay here as memorable and comfortable as possible as we understand how valuable and how much a good holiday means to people.
Good food and good company are part and parcel of our offering of Bed and Breakfast accommodation here at "Flowerpots". Our location is superb, from exploring the historic sites to relaxing on a sandy beach. Everything is possible at "Flowerpots".
Since our opening in Spring 2009 we feel that we have not just had 'guests', we have made friends. Hopefully, we look forward to making many more in the years to come.
