Notes on accommodation
All rooms have electric heating, initial supply of firewood included in hire price, extra available at moderate cost. Non smoking. Regrettably no dogs as we have three cats.
Accessibility
As the property is on two floors and has no lift it is therefore unsuitable for those who cannot manage stairs easily.
Outside
Large garden with lawns, outside games equipment including badminton and swingball. BBQ and patio. Garden table and parasol. Cycles available for hire on request.
Coast/Beach
An hours drive will take you to St Malo in the north or Vannes to the south. Lac du Duc, the largest inland lake in Brittany is only 15 mins drive away and features a beach, cafe and water sports.
Golf
There is a golf club by the Lac au Duc which is about 15 - 20 minutes away by car.
Special interest holidays
Guided cycle tours and cycle hire can be arranged.
Travel
Dinard, Vannes and Rennes airports are all around an hour's easy driving away.
Distances
The petit cité of Josselin with its magnificent chateau and bustling Saturday market is an easy 15 minutes drive away. At Ploermel (20 mins), where you will discover the Lac au Duc, Brittany's largest natural lake, offering a sandy beach with water sports and swimming opportunities. In the other direction, Pontivy, a bustling market town (on Monday mornings), sits astride the Nantes and Brest canal and has many medieval features including the Chateau de Rohan.
Further details
Closer to home just 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes by cycle, takes you to the small towns of Plumieux or La Trinité Porhoet for all essential requirements, pharmacy, bank, bars and boulangerie. The nearby village of La Cheze (7km) has an open air swimming pool, a creperie and two restaurants.
