This traditional Breton cottage has recently been tastefully and fully restored. The ground floor kitchen/living area is open plan, furnished with modern fittings yet retains character period features such as original oak beams and exposed stonework. A wooden staircase leads to a large gallery bedroom with A-frame beams. Like the kitchen, the en-suite shower room is newly fitted and well equipped. The paved patio is provided with furniture and BBQ. The cottage is set in a pretty, tranquil hamlet yet restaurants, bars and shops are less than a 5 minute drive. Ideally situated for those who want to experience the delights of the Breton countryside, La Quinois also provides the ideal opportunity to explore the history and culture of medieval Dinan and other important towns. Close also to fabulous beaches, golf courses and other attractions such as Mont-St-Michel.

Coast/Beach
The cottage is 20 minutes' drive from the north coast of Brittany. Dinard is an elegant resort and there are many spectacular sandy beaches on the Cote d'Emeraude within easy reach. Cancale, 30 minutes' drive, is renowned for its oysters and seafood restaurants.
Golf
There are several fine golf courses all within a 20 to 40 minute drive such as Dinard, Le Tronchet, St Cast and St Michel de Plelan.
Travel
The cottage is an easy drive to and from:
Dinard Airport - 15 minutes (Ryanair)
Rennes Airport - 40 minutes (Flybe)
The port of Saint Malo - 20 minutes (Brittany Ferries)
The ports of Roscoff, Caen and Cherbourg - all about 2 hours (Brittany Ferries)

Distances
The nearest villages, St Samson sur Rance and Plouer sur Rance, offering boulangeries, restaurants and bars, are both within 5 minutes' drive. Dinan, with its cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings is a 10 minute drive; it is one of the most charming Medieval towns in France. At the port, there are many popular cafes and restaurants directly overlooking the Rance. Breathtaking Mont-St-Michel is 40 minutes away.
Further details
Even though La Quinois is a tranquil hamlet, within a 5 minute drive, you have access to banks, shops, chemists, two post offices and a large supermaket filled with fresh local delicacies. Plouer sur Rance itself has two good reasonably priced restaurants and an excellent creperie; food lovers will be spoilt for choice in this area.
Local villages have weekly markets and Dinan has an especially renowned market which takes over the town square every Thursday. There is also a small market in Plouer sur Rance, each Sunday, where you can buy oysters and local organic produce.
This part of the Breton countryside and nearby coast offer limitless possibilities for walkers and cyclists. Birdwatchers will be in their element.
Boating, canoeing and associated activities are available locally and throughout the Rance Valley.
The culture and historical buildings of the area will be of interest to everyone.
Booking notes
To confirm a booking, a 25% deposit is required. The outstanding balance is due at least 30 days before the start of the rental together with a refundable damage deposit of £200 which will be returned soon after the end of your stay.
