Villedieu-les-Poeles (known as the copper town-famous for the bell museum) is approx 20 mins. Vire, with its Friday market, lots of shops, restaurants, swimming pool complex, bowling alley, zoo is approx. 25 mins. Bayeaux with its famous tapestry is approx 1 hour. Paris Disneyland is a 2 hour 30 min train journey.

The famous restaurant Le Moulin De Jean is located in the next village. Mountain biking, bird watching, walking, fishing, horse riding, golf, rambling, sailing, sea excursions, shopping, sightseeing, spa swimming, tennis. Bungey jumping for the more adventurous. Calvados is known for its cuisine including cream sauces, cheeses, andouille sausage, cider and the famous Calvados brandy.

About the owner
My husband Charlie, and I moved out to Normandy seven years ago, after buying the house in 2002. It has been a labour of love. But we have got there in the end. The farm house is over 300 years old and although we have totally renovated from top to bottom. we were already smitten by it when we first saw it. We have tried to keep most of the old beams and stone work where we could but also put in all mod cons as well. We love what we do out here, and making your holiday one to remember is just one of them. So visit us and enjoy the Normandy experience. Best wishes Glynis and Charlie. X

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The location to the beautiful St. Sever forest with all its little paths winding through. Its full of birds and animals, flowers and fungi. It never stops changing day to day. In fact so many people that have stayed with us, they to have fallen in love with the place that they have bought houses near us. People often say, listen holding up their finger and waiting. They then say I did`nt think there would be anywhere left that you could go and hear nothing. But there is and its right here.
Unique benefits of the property
My husband grows lovely veg and salads, and my pet chickens lay beautiful free range eggs, most people ask for them to take home swearing that they will always buy free range from now on as they taste so different. Beaumont and Ranger my horses and Frodo and Fidgett my ferrets, most people come with quite a few tales they have been told about ferrets but after playing with my boys they have a total different out look on them. Then there`s my two cats, Wiggett and Twizzle which will come for a nose and then never bother you again.
