Coast/Beach
The closest beaches can be found at the holiday town of Damgan approximately 40 minutes away. There are several beautiful swimming lakes with beaches within a 15 minute drive.

Golf
The closest golf course is at the chateau at Missilac, only a 30 minute drive. Also in the grounds you can take advantage of the tennis courts and fishing lakes. Other popular golf courses are at Savenay (approx 40 min drive) and Caden (approx 1 hour drive).

Travel
We are within easy reach of the ferry ports of St Malo, Cherbourg, Caen and Roscoff (approx 1-2 hours drive). Both Nantes and Rennes are within an hour both offering flights from the UK on low cost airlines. We are able to offer 20% discount on Brittany Ferries crossings.

Distances
The nearest village is Masserac wich is only 1km away, it has a boulangerie, small grocery shop and a cafe bar.
Only 8km away is the town of Guemene Penfao, it has a weekly market and several restaurants.
On the doorstep there are many walks and cycle routes across pastures and along the River Vilaine.

Whether you enjoy the bustling local markets, the stunning beaches of South West Brittany, swimming in natural lakes or the ambience of historic towns you will find La Cour well placed for reaching these. Also on the doorstep why not try a spot of fishing on rivers or lakes, walking through open countryside, cycling along quiet lanes or river towpaths to discover hidden hamlets or just relaxing and enjoying the rural tranquility - there is an abundance of places to be discovered.

About the owner
We came here to stay and loved it so much we bought it! We had searched for many years throughout France for a rural idyll to call home and had never quite found the right one until we visited La Cour. We were instantly captivated by the wonderful old cottages and barns which still enchant us even now after enjoying five very happy years here. We knew that La Cour would always be a very special place to stay. Thankfully the previous owners were looking to retire and so our dreams became a reality.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The things we love about La Cour are it's a wonderful place for a rural escape and is still within very easy reach of all the beaches, swimming lakes and other attractions on offer in Southern Brittany. The local village is only a short stroll with its boulangerie and Café Bar and the surrounding area offers picturesque countryside and is designated as a protected area of natural beauty.

We make every effort to ensure that each cottage offers a charming home from home and that you enjoy a carefree and relaxing holiday. We live close by for all the help or advice you may need during your stay. We feel privileged to have welcomed many guests and always feel rewarded to have helped create lots of happy, holiday memories.
